If you’re a big rig traveling on I70 and need just an overnight stay this park will do. It’s a half mile off the Interstate in the town of Green River so the Interstate road noise is minimal. The long 50amp full hookup pull-thrus are level and an easy in and out, no need to unhook your toad. There are... More

Our favorite campground in this area of the state. Always clean and well cared for with lots of trees and even a little grass! A lot of people are marking down ratings based on comparisons from pristine parks that are well manicured and have big budgets. This is a small town and for the modest business they do, I think... The price was adequate, but things go down hill from there. First off the lights in the bathroom are on a timer. You are halfway through using the toilet and off goes the lights. The woman at the front desk seemed like a ditz. We asked if they had a RV dump for gray water and she told us no... More

This campground was a confusing mess. The signage is terrible. It is hard to tell what is a site and what is the road. The sites are not maintained, gravel is full of weeds, almost looks like an abandoned piece of property. Don't understand why the Woodall's & Good Sam rating for this place is 8 out of 10. I'd... Others say it well. Basic park with clean showers/restrooms. Mosquitos at night in June. BUT, they gave a coupon sheet for 3 cent/gal discount on fuel, half-price Blimpie sub (our next-day lunch for $5.65), and a free popcorn. This was a "no problem" overnight stay.

Pass this one by. My wife and I stayed in a "camping cabin", which consisted of 2 beds (no linens) and that's it...for $50 a night. They were not even real mattresses, they were super cheap foam ones that you sunk all the way through. Could have stayed in a cheap hotel for less and at least had a bathroom.... More

We were actually staying in a motel in town whose washers/dryers were broken down. Shady Acres were referred to us as the local laundromat, which is prominently located in front of the park. My wife went over in the early evening and began a weeks worth of laundry. As soon as the Shady Acres office hours were up, and even... More

We stayed here for about a week just to get out of the city and unwind. It is nothing fancy, no pool, etc. It is an older park and the owners aren't making any extra effort to spruce up the place to make it more competitive. The photo was taken of one of the nicest areas in the park. They... More

We have stayed at Shady Acres RV park several times but have not been here for about 2 years. We were quite shocked at how they are letting this park run down. Weeds all over the place, none of the grass which is not a lot is not being mowed or taken care of. However its OK for over night... More

3/22/14: We pulled off the interstate late, tired and headed for rip-off rates at motel row in town when we spotted Shady Acres and pulled in. We though it was closed, but the nice lady appeared from her house and set us up with a site for the night. The place is no Taj Mahal but we've stayed in far... More
