I'd stayed at this motel for almost a week last yeak so as we were coming through and looking for a place to spend the night, we checked into the Prospector Inn again. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Our room looked like the one I had last year, two queens, and lots of spacein between, like a standard... More

We took the last room, so glad we did! Very friendly staff, very accommodating. Very clean and large room. Very hot water which was nice for my nighttime soak! Eat at the Cirle D across the street you won't be disappointed!

This was a very basic room in an older motel, however, the room and bathroom were clean. There is a restaurant in the same parking lot which is a very basic sit-down restaurant. We were told cash only - they don't take credit cards. There is a restaurant across the street which had good food and it took credit cards.... More

friendly service, large room with all the amenities needed, large motel you are likely to get a room, convenient to restaurants and super market. At $74. for two queen size beds, a good deal for the area.

Early p.m. and rooms available. By 5ish, going fast. Central location and new, but accommodating, staff. Standard room w/microwave and fridge, but no coffee. Coffee in lobby after 7 a.m. TV remote inadequate, but if you were patient and ended up with callouses on your fingertip from punching the buttons. Rate was $63 (with all surcharges) and I am a... Ok, it doesn't have a microwave or a fridge.. So what? At this price point it is a good deal.. We had a restful night here on the way from Capitol Reef to Bryce Canyon. I hope to return to see some of the National Monument.

The room was clean. Very old and in desperate need of an update. Cheap comfortable place to lay your head. AC worked very well. Older women in the front desk very friendly. Kinda a one person show. Dont expect too much. When we first stopped in the sign on the door said be back in 5. No biggy. The power... More

The best thing about the stay was the ability to drive right up to our first floor room. The room was clean enough, bed was barely comfortable enough, but okay, We had a fridge, but no microwave or coffee maker. Had to ask for a hair dryer. BUT worth it for the price of the room.

OMG.. Where do I start? The beds were horrible n old, could feel the springs! No coffee pot in room, no fridge, no micro, no one in lobby even at 6:30 am! Sheets had makeup on them and a strange spot that I'm not sure what it was! Yuck!! Didn't sleep at all and my neck and back are killing... More

Our group of seven couples stayed at the Prospector on our way to Capital Reef. We enjoyed our stay. Inexpensive, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. WiFi was free with good reception. Within walking distance of restaurants. Of course everything in Escalante is within walking distance! I would definitely stay here again.
