We slept in a room with decoration about fishing. The car can stand in front of the room. Each room has a table and chairs to sit outside. Small supermarket and 2 restaurants are nearby. We had forgotten something in the room and the owner was frienly to sent it to our next hotel. Escalante is very small, but a... More

After a 14 day road trip, I am writing a review for the worst and best hotels I stayed at. This one was the best hotel. As others have noted, the woman at the desk is quite polite and professional. Also, it is obvious that much care and thought has gone into the rooms, or at least the room I... More

Tucked in just behind the main road, it has very clean rooms and toilets. Got a very pleasant welcome for check in and she even showed us on a map which are the best places to eat, where the grocery store is and how to go to the visitor centre

Yes, we are tucked away a little bit which makes it extra quiet at our motel! We have the attitude of having every one that comes to Escalante to enjoy their time here, regardless of where they stay, where they eat, or what they see or do!!!! We want our guest to enjoy their time here and be informed of... More

Not a luxury hotel, but after a long day of hiking, it was perfect. The beds are big and comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. My son and I stayed in the Faded Blue Room for 2 nights. The cowboy motif decoration gives the place character and was a nice change of pace from the typical box hotels.... More

Stayed in the Faded Blue Room. Overpriced (paid $147) for this run down dump. Grossly outdated and in need of repair. Carpeting needs to go - the stifling carpet freshener used does not help! The bedspreads are worn out and faded. Kitchenette did not have a single thing - no utensils, pots, paper towels, paper plates - every cabinet empty.... More

This is a gem of a find in the middle of scenic highway 12. In the small town of Escalante, you have a choice of 2 big motels (Circle D and Prospector) and a few bread and breakfasts, and I went with this one given the good reviews on tripadvisor and I wasn't disappointed. The room was very comfy, especially... More

This is a great little place. The rooms are themed and very well kept. We received very friendly service. We have another trip to the area planned and will probably stay here again. The only complaint is poor wireless service, which appears to be a provider problem.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our motel! Sorry about the WiFi!!!!! I think we have the problem fixed now! Sorry for the inconvenience of the WiFi and I appreciate your understanding that some times things aren't ALWAYS perfect! We had to wait for a few days for the parts to come to fix it! Thanks again... More

If you've already visited the Utah national Parks and want to get away from the crowds and see some "other" beautiful country in Utah, visit the little town of Escalante, and stay at the Cowboy Country Inn. The rates are great and the owner is one of the few indigenous residents of Escalante, Utah. The Inn was built and has... More

We were in a themed room, the antler room. It was very well appointed, comfy bed, great shower, good heater for the chilly mornings and evenings. Elaine, the manager was helpful about local services for canyoning, places to eat and things to see. Great location for hiking, canyoning and easy access to local parks. Beautiful scenery in every direction. Can't... More

This property is very inviting! The rooms are themed. We stayed in the Aztec room. The shower pressure was wonderful. Nice towels and bedding. There is a microwave, coffee pot and small frig in the room. The only negative is that the old heater is a bit scary. Very, very comfy. There is even a little porch, sitting area.
