We went to Utah to ski and snowmobile, as did most of the hotel's other guests. Part of the fun of a ski trip is to sit by the fire in the lodge and enjoy a hot chocolate or cocktail after a long day skiing. The hotel advertised complimentary Apres Ski Wine and Hors d' Oeuvres on Saturday night (there... more
If you're only looking for a place to sleep, you're self sufficient and you're not a light sleeper, this is the place for you if you visit Eden to enjoy the 3 nearby ski areas. The location is perfect since everything is less than 15 minutes or so away (although you'll need a reliable vehicle to navigate the raods in... more
My wife and I selected this "hotel" as a get-a-way destination for our 18th wedding anniversary. The web-site looked great and so we booked the honeymoon suite @ $175.00 per night! That is the ooouch part. I don't mind paying for a romantic setting and understandibly....we were in a ski resort area during peak season! No problem. But, when we... more
Our stay at the Red Moose lodge was for a value-priced hotel away from the urban area of Ogden which is about 12-15 miles away. The Red Moose Lodge staff was friendly and accomodating, the rooms are hotel-style with greater than average hotel room space. The breakfast bar selection was generally limited to cereal and breads. We were pleased with... more
We stayed at the Red Moose in order to ski Powder Mountain and Snowbasin over Presidents' Weekend. The lodge is better described as a very nice motel, with spacious rooms and an interesting location. The only disappointment was the continental breakfast, which was the typical cold bread/cereal but without the wafflemaker and set in an uninspired large room. The location... more
This was our second stay at the Red Moose. We stayed there, also for 3 nights, at the same time last year. The location is excellent - close to Powder Mtn and Snowbasin. The rooms look lovely as does the lobby, and the price is good - $79 for a king room BUT the rooms are so dark and there... more
During our stay this past weekend, Jan 26-28, 2007, we were more than satisfied. The service was outstanding and the facility was gorgeous. The lobby's decor was that of an old ski lodge and the soothing music and the roaring fire made for a very warm welcome. From the moment we drove up, the atmosphere was picturesque and inviting. Though... more
We stayed here from Jan. 13 through 20, 2007. It's a nice building, but as one of my friends staying there noted, it's like they do what they need to do to make it look good on the website and no more. The heaters in the room are really loud, making it hard to sleep if you're a light sleeper.... more
We stayed in this hotel in Februrary 2006, the beds were very big but the pillows were not up to standard the walls in the rooms were very thin we could hear everything from next door. The Jacuzzi were never working so we could not use them as it said on the website! The food was terrible there was only... more
