We had a lake view cabin with Rocky Mountain goats nearby---there was heat in all three rooms (bed, bath and den-like room). It was very clean (very) and comfortable. No WIFI, which was great---just the outdoors. A beautiful area of the country---the Sheep Creek Loop is 10 miles away and a "must do" if you are in the area.

Thank you for your review and we are happy to know that you were able to meet our neighbors, the Rocky Mountain goats. We also are in agreement with you that this is a 'beautiful area of the country' and Sheep Creek Loop is one of our favorite hikes too! More

We booked a cabin last minute thanks to a cancellation, and had few expectations. When we arrived we were very surprised to check into a clean, well appointed cabin with lots of room for our family of 4 and fantastic views of the lake. Our boys were thrilled to find a giant stuffed bear on one of the beds (with... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Red Canyon Lodge. We were booked into a Ponderosa Cabin. The rooms were a decent size. I would say for a "cabin" style accommodation they were nice. The best part was the lake and the views. You could sit on the porch and just watch the world go by, or you could try your... More

Thank you for your kind and honest review. We appreciate your comments. Unfortunately we are unable to offer in-room wireless at our somewhat remote location. In fact, our only option for wireless internet is through a satellite system that is available in our Main building (including our restaurant), but cannot be broadcast throughout the rest of the property. This internet... More

My husband and I just enjoyed a long weekend staying at Red Canyon Lodge. The staff were fabulous, so friendly and helpful. It is set on a small lake with row boats, canoes, paddle boats and paddle boards available. On site restaurant had great service and the food was very good. You can dine inside or out on a beautiful... More

We just returned from a perfect stay at Red Canyon Lodge. This year we introduced the 5th generation to the beauty of RCL and made family memories that will last a lifetime. On our arrival we were greeted with smiles and made to feel as if we had returned home. We booked 4 ponderosa cabins and love the fact we... More

Our goal is to give you the type of vacation that will create great memories and happiness. In this fast paced, impersonal world that we live in, it gives us great pleasure to know that we are a place that your family can reconnect year after year. And it's nice to know that the deer did their job well too!... More

Four adults rented a full Ponderosa cabin unit for three nights. The accommodations were roomy and comfortable, the grounds were well kept and scenic, activities were close by, pets were permitted, food was excellent, the cost was reasonable, and the staff was informative and pleasant. The only downsides were the proximity of the other cabins to ours and the outside... More

Last Thursday, 7/10 thru Tuesday, 7/15, was my 18th year coming to Red Canyon. We always have a great time. It is so relaxing and people in the other cabins are generally thoughtful about the noise level. We make a point to eat at the lodge one night while there. DJ was our waiter this year and he was fantastic!... More

We stopped in for a bite to eat. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The waiter was kind and the food was shipped out to us in a timely manner. My fiance and I shared a turkey burger w/ cranberry/cream cheese sauce on top, Really good food. The little shop in the lodge had some fun souvenirs for purchase. Overall... More

We have been going to Red Canyon since 1997. We love it there. It is quiet. The lake is beautiful. But sadly it seems to go down hill a little bit each year. It was crowded this 4th of July and I realize it is difficult to monitor but seriously, we were disappointed. We stayed in the cabins. We had... More

Thank you for your comments. There is no doubt we were overrun on this holiday weekend. The restaurant was jammed and it was a challenge to keep up! The cabins are in the Park, and are offset so you have a lovely view and can relax. We arrived on our 30th wedding anniversary, and were so taken with the beautiful location we wished we had booked more than one night. The cabin was very comfortable and nicely furnished. Thank you for your very nice comments and in regards to the music problem, our manager did notice the loud music and went over to ask them to turn it off as it was getting dark.
