Last Thursday, 7/10 thru Tuesday, 7/15, was my 18th year coming to Red Canyon. We always have a great time. It is so relaxing and people in the other cabins are generally thoughtful about the noise level. We make a point to eat at the lodge one night while there. DJ was our waiter this year and he was fantastic!... More

We stopped in for a bite to eat. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The waiter was kind and the food was shipped out to us in a timely manner. My fiance and I shared a turkey burger w/ cranberry/cream cheese sauce on top, Really good food. The little shop in the lodge had some fun souvenirs for purchase. Overall... More

We have been going to Red Canyon since 1997. We love it there. It is quiet. The lake is beautiful. But sadly it seems to go down hill a little bit each year. It was crowded this 4th of July and I realize it is difficult to monitor but seriously, we were disappointed. We stayed in the cabins. We had... More

Thank you for your comments. There is no doubt we were overrun on this holiday weekend. The restaurant was jammed and it was a challenge to keep up! We recently replaced the kitchenettes in our units but given your experience we will go in and make sure they are operating correctly, especially the refrigerators. You are correct that the motor... The cabins are in the Park, and are offset so you have a lovely view and can relax. We arrived on our 30th wedding anniversary, and were so taken with the beautiful location we wished we had booked more than one night. The cabin was very comfortable and nicely furnished. We had a nice meal at the Lodge (pricey but... More

Thank you for your very nice comments and in regards to the music problem, our manager did notice the loud music and went over to ask them to turn it off as it was getting dark. Unfortunately, he was not around earlier to request it sooner. We regret that sometimes these things slip by us, it is always our intent... More

This is my third year to stay at Red Canyon Lodge in the Ponderosa Cabins. So often in mountain establishments, consistency is very hard to find. Red Canyon's staff and housekeeping employees are way above average. Gretchen, in the office, will try to get accomplished whatever you ask from recommending guides to working out the best cabin for you. All... More

Our cabin was lovely. It had a living room with table and chairs, along with the bedroom with 2 queen beds and 1 bathroom. There was a fridge, microwave, small stove and assorted dishes and 1 fry pan and 1 pot, so cooking wasn't that easy. The restaurant was only open for lunch and dinner. The rooms were clean and... We have been going to Red Canyon Lodge for several years as a winter weekend getaway. We enjoy x-country skiing and snowshoeing while feeling like we are the only ones on the mountain. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the cabins and grounds are quite nice.

We have been coming to Red Canyon for Valentine's Day for the last 7 years. We have never had a bad experience. This year was no different. The people, the cabin, the food, the weather - all great. There really wasn't enough snow to ski so we went hiking. Sunny breezy day, had a great time checking out the dinosaur... More

We stayed here only one night , we were on our way to Flaming gorge to camp. Nice location, easy to find, lots of wildlife! We had 7-9 deer through here at dusk and Pika (we think). We saw several people head out on horseback with the local guide, looked like fun!

Settle down in your own cabin, in front of the lake. All facilities to set up a beautiful fire after a gorgeous sunset. Our children enjoyed cooking some Smores on the fire.
