The staff was excellent from the restaurant to the raft shop, everyone was very friendly and helpful and explained where local attractions were and great places to fish and boat. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, maid service was above average. We had a great vacation and plan to return again, we wont stay anywhere else.

I stayed here for 1 night. Good things about the Flaming Gorge Resort: very clean, comfortable beds, great location, nice staff, cute covered porch with deck chairs, fluffy towels, nice TV. Not so good things about the Flaming Gorge Resort: a little pricey for the actual accommodations, rooms are on the small size, can hear people in the other rooms... More

Older motel with clean spacious rooms. Very adequate place since we were there to fish. Small bathroom. Short walk to the building with restaurant, store and fly fishing shop. Food is average and pricy. We had good service even on a very busy weekend. So so Wifi connection.

"Resort" is hardly the appropriate term, except for the fact that this mid-20th-century motel and restaurant offers an array of boat rentals, activities, etc. The advertised views of distant cliffs are exaggerated. We stayed in the section called "motel"; the somewhat more expensive "suites" would supposedly be better. When we arrived at the 4 pm check-in time, we were told... More

If you are fishing the Green River or Flaming Gorge Reservoir, this resort is a good place to stay. We stayed in a Suite that accomodated 6 guys perfectly, including a kitchen and living room. The restaurant is good for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is also served, but we preferred the restaurant at Red Canyon Lodge for dinner. A complete... More

We were fishing with another couple so got a "suite". Web site said it slept 2 couples or a family. Old but clean condos with one room, one bath and a pull out sofa sleeper that was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on. Kitchen was somewhat stocked (plates, cups, bowls, glasses) but no sharp knives. Pet friendly and... More

The place is really well- I was not expecting that level from the motel! The room was nice and clean, and warm- what was really important for us, for we were staying there beginning of September when nights are getting colder. We went there for fishing, and the place is just 2 miles away from the lake- so if you... More

Very Friendly people working at this place with a nice gift shop, gear rental, gas station, and restaurant. We rented suites 101 & 103. We weren't looking for anything special and room 101 was a clean but dated place to stay. It had a bit of an odor like some soviet era cleaning chemicals were being used. Room 103 had... More

Dutch John is a small town that once flourished during the construction of the Flaming Gorge Dam but has now become a destination for fishermen and park goers. The fact the the resort is outside the "downtown" leaves you with very few options of things to eat or walk to in the evening. To be clear, this is NOT a... More

After staying in many cabins along Colorado rivers the hotel style rooms here were very appreciated. We stayed in room 313. Really enjoyed the porch that we enjoyed the beautiful view and some evening beverages. We did pay $125 night and that turned into a pretty pricey 3 day stay. The room had a very comfortable bed. We would have... More
