Staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Beautiful area for hiking, fishing, or just spending some time at the hotel itself. The resort has a playground for kids too. It's definitely family friendly. We'll be back again!

When my husband and I checked in, the hotel had no clear record of our reservation. Jessica, the general manager told us that a recent storm had fried their computer and she was not yet familiar with the new software. She assigned us a room nonetheless. She was very friendly and accommodating at the time of check in, and we... More

Our extended family (81 people!) spent months planning a Family Reunion at Duck Creek. Management of the Pinewoods Resort changed during our planning and there were a few bumps in the road, but the change turned out to be a very good thing. Is this a Hilton? No. It's a lovely rustic lodge in a beautiful setting. Our rooms were... More

The area in which the Pinewoods Resort is located is spectacular: lakes, lava flows, red rock canyons, and pine forests. The "resort," however, is a misnomer. I don't think our room had been cleaned (at least not very thoroughly) prior to our arrival. There were sticky spots on the floor, and the carpet was covered in crumbs or dirt. The... More

I stayed here a few weeks ago for a wedding and I picked this place out because the price was pretty reasonable. The staff is pretty friendly but I reserved one of their motel rooms with my wife and well it was way too small. The beds are very very small, stiff and beyond itchy! You wont get a good... More

Dirty, run-down, none of the advertised amenities, overpriced. It was quiet. Probably because nobody wanted to stay there. I would never go there again. The personnel were pleasant enough, but clueless. The restaurant was not opened most of the time. The hot-tub was broken. The game room was messy and lacked any kind of quality. There were not enough towels... More

Stayed here Memorial Day weekend in 2014. Wow what a disappointment, the place is very old and very dirty. They do not have a daily cleaning service. Each day I would have to request additional towels, at which time I would have to leave my room unlocked so they could deliver. Evidently they do not have a second key to... More

I have never seen so much dirt and filth in one place. Not to mention the TV's did not work, The doors did not lock, there were holes in the ceiling, broken furniture, filthy carpets and that was in their best room! Not a safe place to stay. Very outdated, and definitely NOT a resort. Very Scary.
