We stopped here for 1 night. The location is convenient right off the interstate, but this means it is very noisy. No pool or hot tub open like the website says. It looks like lots of people live there year round. It was clean and our spot had a nice green space, but most spots look very tight. We have... More

They have short term and long term spaces available. You can have your mail delivered there. They even have a pet area. Laundry facilities that you can link to your cell phone so that you know which units are available without having to get to the laundry room only to find out it is full. Very nice place to stay.... We stayed there for a quick overnight stop. Rate was acceptable, It really was just a park, sleep and get back on the road kind of a stop and was suitable for such. Kids did play in the pool which was nice. Pool has its own bathroom area and a hot tub. Staff was friendly. Location to restaurants and on/off... More

We reserved our spot for three nights several months in advance. When we arrived to this VERY run down looking park, right off the noisy freeway! We arrived and we were told to park in very tiny spaces that were right at the entry next to the highway. I told them that they knew I was coming and I had... More

I will share others' comments on rude or unprofessional conduct. Right off I15 so it is loud and dirty. They claim to have internet but it doesn't work. The good reviews are from employees??? Sprinklers are on incessantly and at odd times such as 8 AM for me. Sprinklers were also turned on while me and my daughter were playing... More

So their rate is acceptable if they delivered on the services they claim to provide, the staff is friendly, but they just don't hold up. I've been here six weeks, and still have not been worked in to a 50 AMP site. The "30 Amp" site I am in rarely gets over 22 Amps according to my surge protector. The... More

Made our reservation a week to 10 days in advance. Arrived to find our campsite was the curb/gutter (overflow), high traffic volume in out out of campground, not level, no electricity, no water. What a joke. So sad that Good Sam still finds some way to give them decent rating. It was just like camping on the shoulder of I-15.... More

The sprinklers were on repeatedly do not leave things out to dry.... No help from after hours contact. Sites not well suited for large trailers/rvs. So close to your neighbor its ridiculous. Very questionable Surroundings. Traveled with young kids and it felt pretty unsafe. Pool only open till 9 pm. Threatening and plain rude employees! Parking for vehicles completely unacceptable... Pros: This was probably the nicest RV park I have seen. It was manicured like a pro golf course. The camping was on manicured lawn. They had hot tub and swimming pool next to tent. Could eat off floor in bathrooms. Pretty strict about rules so people couldn't mess things up. Rain shelter for eating. Very Very nice. Cons: 1)... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Established in the 1950's , Mountain Shadows RV Park started out as a midpoint getaway between Salt Lake City and Provo, close enough to launch out to all the area attractions, but far enough from the bustle of the city to relax. Over the last 50 years the growth of the Salt Lake Valley has been exponential, with the culmination coming during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Interstate 15 was only 4 lanes and 1/2 mile away as late as the 80's, it is now 8 lanes and 50 feet from the entrance of the park. Through it all we've done our best to maintain a friendly atmosphere and full accommodations. With a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, showers, laundry services, dog walk, and grassy tent areas, we have done our best to appeal to a wide audience. With a Good Sam rating of 9.5/10, as well as a park that stays full year round, things are going well, although we are aware of always having room to improve, and this year, 2012 we have upgraded our Wi-Fi to handle internet traffic for up to 50 slots at normal bandwidth usage's. We've also addressed some concerns about staff and the treatment of our customers; we are happy to say that we have made changes and trained our staff to be more receptive to our customers. And the reviews we've seen since this change have shown that customers are happier for our focus. ... more   less
