We stayed here four nights while exploring the Bryce Canyon area and driving Scenic Route 12. Cannonville is a charming tiny town of about 150 people in a valley with bluffs, buttes and fields all around, about 16 miles from the entrance to Bryce Canyon and 8 miles from the Kodachrome State Park and the back entrance to the Escalante/Grand... This is a small family owned hotel. Big rooms, two kingbeds. The beds are comfortable, fridge in the room! The hotel is located about 20 minutes drive from Bryce national park. There is nothing else to do, there are some restaurants 10 minutes away. Nothing close enough to walk to or a place where you can drink something at night.... More

The room was nicely appointed and very spacious. We got a jaccuzzi suite which was very reasonably priced. The only complaint we have is the wifi...it would not connect from our room and only seemed to connect when we would sit in the hallway at the opposite end of the hotel. The staff was courteous and there was a small... More

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Staircase while touring the national parks in Utah. While we normally stay at chain hotels, those near Bryce seemed outrageously expensive so that we decided to try this hotel as an alternative. It proved to be more than satisfactory. Our room was spacious and the clerk was friendly. Toast and coffee is... More

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC...I don't know what all these other people that dropped negative comments are trying to prove. For what it's worth they are not only wrong, but I would go as far as saying - they're out of line. I shopped this area of the State to death, all the way across that HWY12. I went back and... More

The Grand Staircase Inn is the largest, fanciest building and practically the only business in a tiny town. The inn includes a gas station and a grocery store downstairs. Once you go upstairs, you're in a surprisingly luxurious hotel. We were completely happy with the large, clean, quiet, comfortable room. The price includes a basic "continental" breakfast in a seating... More

The hotel is located near Bryce Canyon (15 minutes drive). Large room, comfortable bed, All was clean. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast (toast, butter and jam, coffee, tea or hot chocolate) is ample and included in the room rate. There is a small supermarket and a petrol station on site. The value for money is excellent! No restaurant but... More

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but after a day in the park it was a great place to cool off and rest up for the next day's adventures. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We had reservations for a 1st floor room ... so we didn't have to worry about carrying luggage up stairs .... our room was fresh and clean .... and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty basic ... coffee and toast... but the value of the room was well worth it all.

My husband and I stayed here in July 2014. The room was large and clean. The hotel is a basic 3 star with toast and coffee served for breakfast that is included in the room price. The town of Tropic is a few miles away and we ate there every night. It is probably one of the best places to... More
