Beautiful quiet remote setting, very clean campsites & restrooms. Foot prints are brushed out between campers. Hot showers! Outdoor sink for washing dishes. Firewood for sale. Staff at visitor center very pleasant. Grumpy staff at store at cabins, though.

Very beautiful scenery, unfriendly staff. I stayed in a cabin for two nights in October 2013 with my wife and our two years old toddler. The scenenery is very beautiful. The cabins could be kept better. Very dusty in some places. Anyway: you got a terrace and a private grill with equipment (gas provided by campground). So just get yourself... More

The basin is state owned land that is at the top of the Grand Staircase Escalante (a national park). The views of the mountains are gorgeous as you enter the park. There are several hikes and there is a drivable loop thru part of the park. We did the Panorama hike, and the hike to Shakespeare arch. Liked Shakespeare arch,... More

Kodachrome is so beautiful and worth the stop. The campground was quiet and in such a beautiful setting. All sorts of hiking right from the campsites. Great bathrooms with hot showers included at no extra charge. Hardly anyone there during the week.

I highly recommend this campground for travellers to the Bryce Canyon area. Very clean and quiet, peaceful, with lovely short hikes all around and spectacular scenery. Clean bathrooms with running water. Easy to book in advance so you don't have to worry about driving all the way in and not getting a site. I've camped here on two different trips... More

Kodachrome Basin was absolutely wonderful. Though small, the park is full of exquisite formations and hiking trails. It's a short drive from Bryce, & well worth the trip. Remarkably personal access to the hoodoos & incredibly beautiful views of Grand Staircase - Escalante N.M. The campground was impeccably maintained, with large, very private sites. The bathrooms were the cleanest I... More

During our recent trip from Bryce to Esacalante, we decided to drive throught Kodachrone Basin State park. The drive took a bit longer than we anticipated as the road turned into gravel and we needed to go slower in the rental car to ensure minimal damage. Once we arrived, the park was lovely, quiet and peaceful. Not many people around... More

It is a very nice park with not that many people. However, definetly take some time for a hike - you'll enjoy it. The park ranger at the entrance is very friendly and he'll provide the right hiking tours for you.

We stayed in cabin 2 and it was very nice. It is a beautiful little park. No crowds, very quiet. We had a wonderful time. We hiked all the trails and rarely ran into anyone. They also have horse rides here, but we did not take them.

We stayed in the campground for 2 nights. We had a great time hiking and exploring the area's beautiful rocky landscape. The campsite was well-maintained with privacy and a beautiful view. We picked this campground mostly out of convenience on our roadtrip, but it was a pleasant surprise because it turned out to be one of our favourite spots.
