In this day and age I expect to find WiFi at any hotel, especially for $ 85 a night, but the owner said she'd rather that we didn't have internet, so we can enjoy our stay better. Well, it's not like the hotel is some kind of resort! Plain, clean rooms. The outside is quite charming. The Anasazi museum across... More

The whole town of Boulder, UT is a bit of a throwback. It's a tiny tiny place in between remote locations. Pole's place, however, were happy to book ahead over the phone and sent us a brochure with advice on things to do in the area. The brochure also has some interesting stories about the history of the place, who... More

Boulder UT is a tiny town with 2 places to stay. I chose Poles Place as it has decent reviews here and it is not pricey. The woman who runs the place is pretty fussy about stuff and the towels and the soap provided were of the cheapest variety. We were there just for one night and it would have... More

You can't get any more remote in the Lower 48 and Poles Place is the right place to serve as your HQ while you explore the fascinating Escalante region. The owner, Camille, grew up in Boulder (Pole was her great grandfather and pioneered the valley in the early 20th century) and is the source of volumes of local lore and... More

This is a motel in the true sense, so don't expect frills, but if you want good advice for the area this is the place. Camille, the proprietor, offered great suggestions, some of which turned out to be the highlight of our trip...and we went to see 11 national parks on this vacation, so it's no small statement.

Stayed at this hotel as we travelled along the scenic highway 12. Comfortable and clean rooms, beds were comfortable. The owner offered suggestions for dinner. Would recommend. Poles Place breaks up the drive from Moab to Bryce Canyon. You can go to the Ansazi Museum across the street.

The rooms are basic with comfortable beds and are kept very clean. The location is good, just across from the museum and within walking distance to several good restaurants and beautiful views. The Owner / Caretaker is a whimsical person who is rapidly donating parking space to her wildflower garden that now spans around all sides of the lot and... More

Found this place by word of mouth. Very clean and tidy. The owner keeps the grounds beautiful and the rooms simple. Grab dinner at Hell's Backbone & coffee in the morning across the street. Very friendly community.

$88/night. Not bad except there was no fridge, coffee maker or microwave in the room. Had to ask for ice at the office. Rooms were relatively new and clean. Walls were paper thin. We could hear the guy in next room brushing his teeth. Every step made the floor squeak. Little threatening/warning notes/signs posted in the room warning about extra... More

There are not a lot of choices if you want to stay the night in Boulder, Utah. The surrounding country of this town offers spectacular scenery and worth putting up with a basic accommodations for one night. But I think this place needs some updating in the near future. Wifi would be a nice addition. It is clean and the... More
