We had a room with a king bed -- large room, porch for sitting outside, comfortable bed, fridge. And the restaurant, Hell's Backbone Grill, was absolutely terrific for breakfast, lunch and dinner -- good thing because not many other choices around. Make a reservation to be sure you can get in. Short car ride to breathtaking sights in all directions.

Great place for a stay on scenic highway 12. Beautiful gardens, an oasis in the desert. Large room, smaller bed than other hotels. Large balcony with lovely green views, a change from all the red rock. We ate at Hells Backbone which is literally on the doorstep, great food, excellent service.

I enjoyed my short stay here- beautiful property, created with a lot of care. Rooms seemed contemporary to me- not sure what the problem others might have. The rate was a little more than I'd expect for the area, but once onto the property, I thought it represented a very good value- I've paid a lot more for a lot... More

We found it to be a quiet and peaceful place to spend two days during our tour of Southern Utah. The staff was pleasant, the hot tub relaxing and room clean and quiet. As noted by others, there are not a lot of choices in the area but this one met our needs quite well.

Small town inn situated on pretty property. The town has few options so this is the best one. Rooms are either bottom or top floor. Large rooms but outdated and tired (motel style). The best part about this place is that it is next to Hells Backbone grill which is AMAZING

I have stayed at this lodge several times when traveling Highway 12 and have never been disappointed. Peaceful, green, cool, and restful!! I have no idea what shermy1929 was talking about with old furniture. My rooms have always been furnished impeccibly. I rated service as very good, just because check-in was just fine, but I never needed them again. :)

What a treat to it was to stay the night in this wonderful lodge. The rooms are spacious, the grounds are lovely, and the staff is delightful. A bonus is the Hell's Backbone Grill located on the property. Our stay here was a highlight of our Utah national parks trip.

There may be a couple of cheap motels, but this is the place to stay! The rooms are comfortable, the views are lovely, and the property is very relaxing. When you stay here, you aren't close to anything else except the three restaurants at the crossroads, but all three are fine. Boulder doesn't seem to really be a town, just... More

This was the second stop for us on our trip to the 5 National parks of Utah. We absolutely loved this place. Very dog friendly, they even had a fenced area for dogs to run free. We loved sitting out on the porch at night watching the beautiful stars. Hated to leave. Very quite and such lovely grounds. Great restaurant... More

The setting for this warmly-run place is lovely. A make-over of the rooms, however, would give it a huge lift. Our spacious room, for example, looked as if it had been furnished by Goodwill. Small oversights led to momentary fits of annoyance. A night light in the large room would have made finding the bathroom less hazardous in the dark.... More

As our reviews show, almost everyone who stays at Boulder Mountain Lodge really enjoys the Lodge and the rooms. Since everyone has different taste, no property will please everyone. We are sorry to hear that these guests did not like the furnishings in their particular room. We are always working to upgrade our lodge and no two rooms at the... More
