We were in a bit of a bind and these sweethearts worked us in at the last minute and were very very accommodating to our pets and everything as well. Nothing fancy but clean and quaint little place to catch some zzzs. Close to Nation Parks but not many options for downtown life late in the season.

I have stayed at the Recapture Lodge many times over the years. It's not fancy, but it feels like home to me when I stay there. Rooms are comfortable and face the east with good shade in the afternoons if you are visiting in the summer. There is a trail that leads from the Lodge down to the San Juan... More

My husband and I was coming from Moab and decided to stay in Bluff. We had a great experience at Recapture. Sure it's older and out dated, but we loved it. It was like going back in time. It has paneling walls and old style keys, and bed spreads, but it was clean as a whistle. And I would highly... More

This is THE place for a base camp to explore Southeastern UT! Yes, it's funky, "dated", and quirky. If you read these as negative, book the Desert Rose for a much more sterile, higher-priced experience! You absolutely can't imagine the rich, wonderful conversations looking over the amazing map collection and sharing intel about slot canyons, hidden archeological sites, and some... More

I've hesitated to write this review, but feel I should warn others. This review actually relates to one night in August 2014 (closest date this site allows me to enter is November 2014). We arrived late evening, as planned, after a very long drive across the desert. We were greeted warmly and I paid for our reserved room. Having been... More

We enjoyed our stay at Recapture Lodge. We selected this property mainly for it's proximity to Monument Valley. We were able to check in and drive to Monument Valley in less than an hour. The property was older but it was clean, the beds were comfortable, shower was nice and hot, the hosts friendly, and the continental breakfast good. The... More

Awesome friendly place. While on camping trip in southern Utah we checked in to get out of the rain. Dog friendly comfortable, clean room. Large room newly tiled floors and shower. Noticed a lot of the rooms have kitchens and sitting rooms. Call for a reservation there were no vacancy signs everywhere. A lot of people like me just passing through.... More

Another night on the road. Rooms were a welcome change to standard motel types, and liked the terrace feel back to the Lodge's reception area. Lovely but cold pool, hot tub was warm enough though. Got talking to very friendly owners in the morning, who were very helpful!

We stayed for 1 night in Bluff at these great lodges and were very warm welcomed by Jim, the owner. He helped us plan our trip etc. Nice pool and hot tub, great rooms (beds could be a bit bigger :) and great breakfast. Very cosy and near great parcs.
