Not booked before we went found the night before. Nice change from previous hotels which were more your typical hotel. Had a great pool, much needed that afternoons as temperatures were in the 100F bracket! Good walk down to the river but do take water to drink if hot but good to stretch legs after having been on the road.... More

This review is VERY late, but we rented a house from the folks at the recapture lodge for our wedding last September. It was perfect. The scenery nearby (comb ridge?) was beautiful and the house was cozy. We were still able to use the hotel pool/ jacuzzi. Friends stayed at the actual hotel, which they also enjoyed. Owners were super... More

Stayed here with biker friends while touring the area. Very basic hotel, no actual room air conditioner like typical hotel/motels have, they use a 1950's era swamp cooler design system that you have no control over and only puts out slightly cool air to multiple rooms. After a long day of riding, I like to cool the room down and... More

Recapture Lodge Bluff Utah 84512 Before I give my review/opinion, this is a rustic older well kept lodge. I stayed here a few years ago, and for the price compared to the new Desert Rose and other choices in Bluff you do get a nice clean room with nice TV. Reading the other reviews I will say they have a... More

Not great no air conditioning small shower no bathtub stay only if you have no choice will definitely make reservations ahead of time to stay somewhere else no phone or clocks in the room sleeping in the car would have been better

This was a last resort for us, we couldn't find anywhere else. Old premises, mostly well past it's used by date, not clean, uncomfortable, aircond not working ad we are still scratching from the bug bites received overnight. Breakfast, well...... Enough said. We did have an excellent meal at the Cottonwood Inn restaurant though, so if you are in town... More

Loved this lodge! Rooms are super clean, showers have great pressure and as hot as you want, staff is super friendly. Excellent pool and hot tub, playground and BBQ area! Excellent easy walking trails in the back to explore. Then I forgot my Kindle, when I called they were already waiting to confirm a mailing address to ship it back... More

We made a spring break trip to the Grand Canyon with our grandson, and stopped here on our way home. It was just right for us, with a twin bed for the boy and a double for us. Comfortable, clean and very friendly. There was a play area and a walking path. We enjoyed the nearby coffee shop and hope... More

This was our second stay here and it won't be our last! Charming little place in a great spot to explore the area from. Older but clean and friendly. We did not check out the breakfast offerings as we brought our own coffee pot and the room had a microwave and a small fridge. Very friendly staff too! This spot... More

I have stayed here as a staging area for trips on the San Juan river as well as travel in Southern Utah. I really like the feel of the place. Family owned and operated. The rooms are clean. The place is a classic. Basic motel rooms, but clean and well maintained. An interesting mix of guests while we were there:... More
