We booked a king room in this lodge because of its proximity to Natural Bridges National Monument. The reviews are correct, this is a little gem for the area. The room was clean and well decorated. The outside area had plenty of seating to enjoy the weather and landscaping. The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The variety and quality... More

WE loved it, wished we could've stayed longer! We had the 2 bedroom suite! Excellent. Clean, charming and very comfy for the rate. We enjoyed the crowd that stayed there, and the breakfast was more than we counted on. Very satisfied. Chassitty was a great finding us a restaurant. The owner was there in the morning! We will go back!... More

We stopped in Blanding because it was part way to our next stop in Sedona. We got the last room, which was a family suite for $215. We thought the price was a little steep until we saw the unit, which was a complete 3 bedroom house complete with air conditioning. The wifi was excellent and the continental breakfast the... More

We stepped back in time and enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of this little gem of a motel. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The complimentary breakfast was great with the delicious cinnamon rolls and other tempting choices as well. We plan to stay here again if traveling back to this area.

This renovated motel is the nicest place you'll find in a remote area and the service is top notch. The bathrooms are still small but immaculately clean. We were delighted by the delicious homemade pastries in a nice continental breakfast. The owners are on site and it was a very pleasant stay after rafting the San Juan River.

we stayed at the Stone Lizard...were on a short motorcycle trip. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the doors to the rooms. (there were 4 of us). When we pulled in, it looked pretty good, & the girl that checked us in wasn't super friendly, but...as we got into our rooms, & relaxed a bit, we saw her a... More

We had a King room. It was comfortable and clean. The bathroom is small... minimal space to put your make-up, toothpaste, etc. We onlly stayed for a night. The home-made berry danish in the morning was a nice touch. It felt homey. We sat outside last night and enjoyed the evening.

We have stayed twice at the Stone Lizard and look forward to our next stay. The remodeled motel is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful in answering questions about the area. The owner even brought around fresh cinnamon rolls from a local bakery. They were fabulous. The small size makes for a... More

Very large, clean and comfortable suite for families - 3 large bedrooms, a convenient kitchen, a dining room and a living room! A breakfast is served outside when the weather is nice. The owner is very nice. The location is very quiet.

This motel is older, but we actually enjoy staying at older establishments when we travel. This particular motel is exceptionally run & we were very pleased with everything. The rooms are small--shower/bathroom is pretty cramped, but for two people with a baby it was a convenient size. I'm glad that there was a door between the bedroom & the "living... More
