I am so glad I read the reviews on this site when I selected this hotel. And they take dogs! Room was clean, front desk associates nice. I didn't have problems with noise -- ask for a room on the back side. Everything worked in the room. Good hotel for the price. Simple breakfast, perfect for a quick bite before... more

Spent one night here on a group tour on our way to Arches NP. This motel is right out of the 50's but has been renovated and suited our needs just fine! Large, clean room with amenities (coffee, etc.,.). Friendly guys at the front desk. Tiny breakfast room, but guests used the ajoining sitting area without a problem. (This allowed... more

Pros: Excellent, speedy WiFi connection. Clean and quiet. Well-lit rooms. Cons: Sheets did not fit bed well; furniture was broken; toilet would not stop running. Overall: Fine for a brief stay. An interesting collection of Ancestral Puebloan pottery in lobby. more

Although the check in was a little slow, the room was clean, the bed was firm, the road noise was not bad, and the continental breakfast had bagels which could be toasted. For $67 quite a bargain. more

My daughter and husband were camping their way through the Southwest and needed a rest from the road. I found Gateway on the internet and arranged their reservation by phone so the room was waiting for them. They really enjoyed their stay and got a good rest, except for some rude guests who got up early and were noisy. Their advice,... more

This was my second visit (prev in May 08). I’ve stayed at the more modern places in town and have settled on the Gateway (I’m a regular business visitor). It is a recently refurbished 60's standard motel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well equipped with fridge, microwave, excellent free WIFI in the rooms (very important for me), good... more

This motel is a good choice but ask for a second story room on the backside away from the highway. The rooms are clean and spacious with new carpets and plumbing. The continental breakfast is the usual beverages, bagels, muffins and pastry. The lobby has a computer for guests and local attraction books. Very friendly helpful staff. more

Blanding is the original one-horse town. Our arrival (admittedly a convenient overnight stop) revealed a town seemingly populated only by hormonally-challenged teenagers - running the pizza joint (there was nothing else to eat), hanging around the garage, etc. The hotel was a fifties-motel throwback - without the quaint charm - the rooms were crying out for redecoration. The receptionist kindly... more

By far the worse room during our month long travel of the Southwest. Very disappionting for a Best Western. The rooms were very old and dated and fronted the main highway. When we went to the "included" breakfast there was only a few rolls and an empty pitcher of orange juice. No cereal or the other usual items found at... more

I highly enjoyed my stay in this motel. We got the last room available and the price was still ok. Everything was clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The pool was too crowded for our taste but we were there in the middle of the summer, when it was really hot and the whole motel was full.... more
