We made last minute reservation and spent a quick night here instead of at a hotel and it included breakfast. So for the price, I thought was great. We love having a yard and home access available in place of a hotel. Tim made a fabulous breakfast. Our room could have been a little tidier. If you are on a... More

Beautiful historic property with period furniture. Lovely grounds and gardens with pond. Wifi and pool are a real plus. Host is very hospitable and accommodating. Breakfast was always awesome. The town itself is charming. This is my third stay here. Will come back again.

I have noticed most places you visit seem to go down hill over the years. It seems Thee Hubbell House is just the opposite! Every time I visit it is better! I have stayed in the mansion, Little Hogg House and the carriagehouse. I was pleased to see all of the carpet is gone from the carriagehouse rooms and a... More

This is our 3rd stay at Thee Hubbell House and it feel like coming home. The whole town of Winnsboro has so much to offer in a laid back style. Fortunately this is the first time we have got to see the beautiful dogwoods and the azaleas in all their glory & what a sight. People from all over were... More

Have stayed there twice. Over a year ago in the Lil Hogg House and then last January (2013) in the Magnolia Room in the main house (back of the house upstairs). The owner/manager is Tim and there could not be a more perfect host in any bed n breakfast. The breakfast really is HANDMADE and very well-prepared; the ambience is... More

Have stayed here more than once and feel I need to say something good about it. The history of this estate is intertwined with the history of Texas. Governor Hogg's father-in-law built it. His son had all the concrete done when dirt roads were the norm. Today, you still feel a sense of that plantation class but it is a... More

My sister and I booked a room here through a different website. It turned out the room only had a twin bed. The gentleman gave us another room without any question or hassle. It was a place where you just felt at home. The breakfast was great. The grounds were quiet. I went and sat outside in the morning and... More

Great place to stay and so convenient to downtown. Place is very well maintained and clean. The food is wonderful and the best pancakes I think I have ever had! The host is always available when you need him and so nice. His grandson helped serve breakfast and he was a perfect little gentleman! Highly recommend this place.

We needed a break and the Hubble House was relaxing, friendly and enjoyable. Perfect location, walking distance to most places in town. Some updates are needed; we stayed at the Hogg House, the bath was extra small, the fixtures old and in need of some real cleaning. The whole place would benefit from a fresh coat of paint, it is... Tim's a great host, accommodations are cozy, and convenient to downtown activities. Thee Hubbell House even offers downtown deals for those staying...the one I especially like is the two for one ticket pricing for reserved seats to the live music venue, Crossroads Music Company & Listening Room, which brings in nationally known talent to its stage! Swimming Pool!
