7A lost 15 cabins and their pool in the Memorial Day 2015 floods. I believe they still have the hotel style rooms and lodges. Please be patient while they are rebuilding. My son and are planning on going up to see if we can help this summer. Truly a family destination!

This property is hard to describe. I read many reviews - on here and elsewhere - before we decided to go ahead and stay there. Some people just have really high expectations! This is CLEARLY not a hotel on the Vegas strip people! It is a resort, near the river - where people track in water and dirt and grill... More

We rented the dodge house which is a 4 unit complex. The septic backed up and we were eventually relocated to some cabins after complaining of not having running water in our units. Although the cabins are a little more expensive we were only provided with 3 cabins compared with the 4 units at the original location. Without going into... More

This was our first trip and we loved it.We put in a request for a reservation for this year and are already planning our trip. My kids ages 13 , 7 and 5 loved the Pioneer town and explored every day more than once and found something new each time. Loved the cabin #8 with the screened porch it added... More

My family has stayed in the Indian Lodge every Thanksgiving for over 25 years! We love it. Our lodge is always full to overflowing. The owners are fabulous to work with. We will be there again this year!

We didn't stay in the cottages here. We got a day pass for 5.00 a person and hung out on the river for the afternoon. There are rope swings for the kids to play on. Your admission also gets you into Pioneer Town. (which we didn't visit) The staff was very nice. Joe Ed the security guard was very helpful.... More

OK, this place is not my cup of tea. You might enjoy it, but it depends what you are expecting. My family and I go each year for a family reunion. It is well situated, about a mile up-river from "downtown" Wimberly. There is a low water crossing in front of the resort, and it attracts a lot of folks.... More

my family and i have been coming here for over 40 years and still come every year. those with the bad reviews are expecting a 5 star resort. 7a Resort is not one of those. It was built as a country get a way on the river. Sure it looks dated but that keeps the prices down(which have gone up... More

7A Ranch has proven (2 years in a row now) to be an great place for tubing, swimming, and fishing - even paddle-boarding for some - for both my family and my church community (sOndays of Tomball, TX). This is not a "resort" in the sense of high scale amenities that you would find in a bed and breakfast setting,... More

We have stayed at the 7A Ranch on the Blanco River in Wimberley, TX two times, each in the Summer. Our family has enjoyed staying here, and the accommodations are family friendly. I highly recommend staying here if your family enjoys floating in a river, swinging on rope swings into a river, and visiting nearby areas. If you are looking... More
