This was a nice little hotel that was a great escape from the Texas heat! We were on our way back from a month long vacation to San Francisco and has just driven 14 hours from Phoenix, AZ. The mattress was nice and firm and the air worked great! All in all a welcome respite from a long day of... More

Looking at the pics that management posts, looks decent right? Um no. Had to pass through Van Horn and it's a run down looking place already. Directly across the street there were buildings falling apart. I knew they had a pool so brought the swimming trunks, sorry kiddos there's black water sitting at the BOTTOM of the pool with a... Nothing outstanding or earth shattering but a nice place to stay. We were just looking for a place to sleep and didn't want to pay the $100 or more that the El Captain or others wanted. Our room was clean, up to date, and well furnished. The front desk was extremely helpful and kind. If we get stuck going through... More

Found it to be very clean, and pretty basic but comfortable and pet friendly. Moving my daughter to Dallas and needed a place for one night after a long day driving. She has two cats. The Econo Lodge was actually very clean and in good condition. It is a low end hotel chain but most times I've stayed at one... More

I paid 57.50 upon arriving at 2 am. I asked for a better price, and she said I was getting the best price. I could have gone elsewhere but was exhausted. This is a typical hotel that has been remodeled, looks nice, but the door doesn't close well. I have stayed in may for so much less. If they would... More

This is the second time I've stayed here. I have not seen any roaches. Rooms appeared clean. No mold or mildew in the shower. Beds are comfortable. A/C and heater worked well. Would stay here again (and I'm picky!) breakfast is a little lacking, but not bad.

Driving east on I-10 we encountered a severe ice storm and had to stop sooner than planned for the night due to the tdot closing the highway for safety reasons. Every single hotel in van Horne was asking anywhere from $100-200 for a room for the night for even just one double bed!!! When we did find a room at... More

Plus: very comfortable bed, nice sized room, interior fresh with seemingly new carpet, paint, furniture. Room rate was very reasonable. Micro, fridge, coffee maker. Minus: air conditioner was the kind that cut on and off all night., outside of hotel was not kept up as nice as interior. Continental breakfast was the most meager I've ever seen. Very few choices.... More

and good internet service. They've been re-doing the property and freshening it up. Not too many choices for breakfast but most should be able to make a lite breakfast of it. Smooth check-in and check-out. Could easily stay here again.
