I don't know who wrote the "Dumpy" review, but I enjoyed my stay at Shady Glades Resort. We had a cabin next to that great little café. It was very clean, had a refrigerator and microwave. We had a nice charcoal grill at the cabin, and the pavilion across the street has a great outdoor kitchen. The beds were very... More

We have stayed in all of the accommodations from the Cozy Cabin to the Motel Rooms to the Trailers - all were extremely clean and well appointed. We have... More

Caddo Lake is a terrific and beautiful natural phenomenon. Shady Glade Resort is a well used dump. There are several other guest houses on Cypress Road that offer refreshed or new accommodations with much better surroundings. Would not recommend nor would I return.

They have free canoes for guest use only (steer clear of the metal one, there's a leak :D) and also a fish cleaning station. The cabin was so perfect... More
