We visited Woldert-Spence Manor during December 2011. We booked the entire house for our family of 13. Had a great time! Shonda went out of her way to make sure we were accommodated. My husband and I stayed Friday night and Saturday and our children joined us on Saturday. The house was awesome and we felt right at home. Breakfast... More

Having stayed at many bed & breakfast across the country, we enjoyed our stay at Woldert-Spence. The hosts are fabulous and the home was quaint and comfortable (well appointed). Unfortunately, we felt the scramble eggs were over cooked and biscuits were too huge. Lisa's cinnamon honey butter was so yummy. The service and the hospitality, though was top notch! More

My husband and I stayed in the Spence room on the first floor. It is a beautiful room with a private screened porch. Chris and Lisa were wonderful hosts. We loved waking to the smell of bacon and fresh scones each morning and coming "home" to fresh-baked cookies every evening. We have stayed at other Texas B&Bs and have found... More

Although I had lived in Tyler before, I did not know about the history of the Woldert family or the Manor. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Lisa and Chris about the house, the history and getting to know them. The location is central, quiet and comfortable. You have the charm of an old fashioned B&B with all the modern conveniences; blow... More

Chris and Lisa were such wonderful hosts. They make you feel so at home and the place is just gorgeous. We especially liked the sound machine in the room and the homemade breakfast was wonderful, especially the cinnamon honey butter which just melted in your mouth. HIghly recommend if you want a quiet romantic getaway. More

My sister and I rented two rooms in May while we were on a house hunting trip. The rooms were outstanding, the breakfast was wonderful, and the inn keepers are a joy. We loved the place so much, we have booked two roooms for two more nights in July. If you want a pleasant, restful stay and a wonderful old... More

I booked the carrage house. Everything you could need in the kitchen and sodas in the fridge. My mom came with me and while I worked she enjoyed the in keepers company very much. Very accomidating. Would stay again. Close to old town Tyler. More

We stayed one night here and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We had the Alma Mary and Robert Spence room on the first floor. We enjoyed the wonderful stained glass window along with all the little things that made us feel like Alma Mary and Robert had let us have their room for a visit with them. Like the hair brush... This was our first visit to a bed and breakfast and we couldn’t be more impressed. The home was very nice and well kept. The innkeepers were extremely nice and cook an amazing breakfast. We stayed two nights and after breakfast the first morning I couldn’t wait for the second mornings breakfast. My wife and I enjoyed the outdoor hot... More
