We didn't make a reservation anywhere in Texarkana because so many places have poor reviews on TA. We stopped several places but La Quinta had the best rate of those we checked. This La Quinta was fine, a good location for us. Our first room smelled of cigarette smoke but the desk clerk moved us right away. The replacement room... more

Beware when booking at the La Quinta in Texarkanna. There are two of these hotels in this town (just across the highway from each other). One is very professional and clean and the other is where we stayed. Our experience was so bad that on our return trip we kept driving to another town eventhough we were tired. Here's what... more

This place is just fine. Not brand new, not great breakfast, but everything was acceptable motel quality, and the staff was exceptionally nice. Stayed here last year and they were nice then, too. more

We picked this La Quinta for a four-day business trip to Texarkana. It was a typical off-the-freeway chain hotel with a free breakfast, big TVs, comfortable beds, small lobby. We found the staff helpful and friendly. I am not sure I would stay there again however because of the hotel's miserable internet service. We checked in on Sunday night and... more

I had to check out early on a Saturday. Although the entire breakfast buffet was on display and readily available, when I tried to cook a waffle, the night manager refused stating "We don't start serving breakfast until 7AM". What difference does it make when the entire breakfast is already available? I told her I was checking out but that... more

This is a motel-style La Quinta, where the rooms are accessible from the outside. The hotel itself is clean and unremarkable, not great or horrible either way. There were a couple of problems, however. The first one was that the internet connection was so weak we could barely connect most of the time. But this pales in comparison to our... more

Now you can't go into this looking for a Four Seasons experience, but this hotel is a great value (if you book it on the right site...hint ...bidding is great!!) The staff is very friendly and they have a wonderful free breakfast that includes waffles that you make yourself. I can say for LaQuinta and particularly for this property..they are... more

I had heard great things about the Laquinta chain, so we decided to stay for 1 night on our way home. Everything looked fine until we awoke in the morning, only to find bedbugs crawling on us. Upon further inspection, we found the insects in the pillows, under the bedskirts, even in the bathroom. When we checked out, we informed... more

We stayed at this hotel for a one night stopover en route to San Antonio, TX. The room was very nice and spacious as well with the exception of the bathroom which was very small. There was a storage closet and a table with 2 chairs. We had 2 double beds in the room but one of the beds was... more

Overall, this is nicer than other La Quinta hotels nationwide. The property was easy to access from the interstate and the rooms were clean. Some of the equipment was badly in need of repair. For instance, the microwave and the toaster were both not working at the free breakfast. Other than that, the food selection was good. Also, when we... more
