My wife and I stayed here while touring the south for our Fifth Anniversary. We weren't requiring much - this was a stopover after a long drive from New Orleans. NOTE: The Holiday Inn Express, Texarkana is now the Country Plaza Inn. That is the hotel that this review refers to. We stayed one day at this hotel during an extended vacation. The woman who took our reservation and checked us in was extremely pleasant. She also tried her best to help us with their terrible Internet connections (see below).... more

No wired connection, no working WiFi and no mention of WiFi in the guest directory. I expect more with a $99 Holiday Inn room, expecially with newer and cheaper competition on the same street. Luckily, Super8 next door runs an open WiFi. more

Comment refers to Holiday inn Exp and Country Inn. Since June 2008 we are owned by Ramada. All rooms are newly renovated.

Not up to what we expect of HIE motels. The cable & wi-fi were out (not their fault) until morning, but no proviison had been made to offer any compensation or extra rewards or anything for it. Water tasted terrible, too. However, breakfast, towels, shower and beds were fine. We cancelled our stop on the return trip and picked another... more
