We stayed with 4 other friends in early December. After a delish dinner at the Starlight, we returned to blazing fires on the terraces, timed to perfection by the inn's caretaker. We sipped the wine we'd chilled in the fridge in the outdoor kitchen while we watched the stars. Yes, it would have been nice to have an en suite... More

La Posada Milagro is the place to stay in Terlingua. This is the place to go and reconnect with not only oneself but also with that special someone. Whether you are just beginning or have been together for 31 years. It is the kind of place that lets you love, laugh and talk the way it was in the beginning... More

I read quite a few reviews of this property prior to deciding on La Posada Milagro for my Big Bend experience. Overall the beauty, serenity, and location of this property is top notch and I would think it would be hard to top for the Terlingua area. Walking distance to the Starlight Theatre district with all of the locals gathering... More

My husband and I were here in 2012 for our honeymoon. It's pricey, yes, but in my opinion, worth it! The porch has a great view. Plan ahead and bring a 6 pack or bottle of wine an d some snacks, and enjoy a sunset outside your room. Rooms do have shard baths, so if that's not your thing, look... More

One of our magazines, TEXAS HIGHWAYS, thought the Posada Milagro, was the cat's whiskers, so we booked it as we drove through Big Bend Park and environs. Our impression was that Terlingua had a ghost town section. Fact is, the entire community is the ghost town—left over from the days when the mining of cinnabar ore (mercury) was in full... More

I found the accommodations to be overpriced for the quality. I understand the remoteness of the place may drive the prices up somewhat, but this was too high. It is not clear from the website that the facilities (shower and toilet) are actually shared. They are nice by themselves, but still, I would have liked to know this up front.... More

You have to set your expectations as this hotel is located in one of the most rugged regions of the United States. Considering you are in the desert where electricity and water are a luxury, I found this hotel to be charming and comfortable, but still rugged enough for us to know we were not in the big city! We... More

We arrived and found a note telling us where the room was. Key was in the door. Now we don't mind escaping civilization but when we are misled, we are not happy. We were told that our rooms had WIFI. Our room had 1 bar and we couldn't connect unless we went outside the room and around the corner. We... More

The staff is exceedingly helpful, ready to assist with anything you might need. The place is quaint and communal and we love people so it was perfect for us. Plus they also run the cafe just down the hill with heavenly food and a great patio.
