these people are in the hospitality business. When you speak to them on the phone they should act like it. Kind of rude and unprofessional if you ask me. Every time I called I dreaded talking to the woman who answered because she was so mean. Never did end up staying there. Anyone else out there have this same reaction?

The Longhorn Ranch Motel was safe, clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious (not a typical motel breakfast) and was included in the price. After seeing all the other options in Terlingua I believe the Longhorn Ranch Motel was the best option. It's got nice views and is set apart from all the other motels.

Other lodgings in the area were filled when I planned our trip so I booked this motel about 15 miles north of Big Bend National Park. There are very few choices in this remote location. There are a couple not so bad things about the Longhorn…the place is clean and it is very quiet being out of town. There is... More

Older but very quiet, family owned and operated motel with authentic Mexican restaurant conveniently on-site. Pool in courtyard. Motel built Southwestern style. Worn but clean. Rooms have fridge and microwave. No WiFi or cell service, but step out beyond buildings and the night sky makes up for it. Owners offer to make breakfast for guests at small additional cost. (Restaurant... More

This place was wonderful. We spent 2 days in Big Bend National Park and we found this was the cheapest motel in the area. We were welcomed by the friendly owner. Our room was clean, spacious, had a fridge and microwave and the shower was great. Hot and good pressure. I specially enjoyed the comfy bed and the quality of... More

We stayed at this hotel while visit Big Bend National Park (about 15 miles outside the Study Butte). It is a small older motel, well maintained. The room, linen were all clean. The beds are comfortable. The husband and wife running the place are super nice. They ensured that we were comfortable. We had an authentic Mexican dinner. I am... More

We stayed here for one night whilst exploring the area. It was further out of Terlingua/Study Butte than I had thought but we found it eventually. Even thought the restaurant was closed on a Sunday they opened it up and cook for all the guests. The food was average and took a long time (1hr) to arrive! The beds were... More

I was with a small group of motorcyclists and we had made reservations to stay. The stay was very friendly and helpful and cooked a really homemade Mexican breakfast for us. It was delicious. The motel is somewhat dated but very comfortable and welcoming. It's about 10 - 15 miles north of Terlinqua / Study Butte but still a nice,... More

Booked at the last minute and was happy to find a place close to where we needed. Typical roadside motel, however, breakfast is the bomb and it's included! All homemade food, not they typical out-of-the-box crap from like other places. The owner and staff (family?) were also very friendly and I enjoyed watching them bounce around to the music in... We didn't make reservations, just drove up around 8PM on a Friday night. They gave us a room and moved an extra bed in so our kids could all sleep comfortably (so we had 3 double beds). The room was very clean, the pool looked very nice but as it was Spring Break it was still too chilly to swim... More
