My family and friends LOVED it. We went with a group of friends (all have kids), and since there was no internet service, everyone spent time talking and enjoying each others company. We travel quite a bit, (New York, Florida, etc. ) and my kids (teenagers) still say this was their favorite vacation. They even positively commented on the simplicity... More

The stay was great! The owners of hotel were friendly. It's off season, so nothing was mentioned about breakfast being included in the price. We left 2 days earlier so the price per night was raised by $20 a night. We flew into Midland, so it was a 4 hour drive to Big Bend. At times a tricky drive. So... More

After reading some of the reviews on here I am firm in my belief that some people just complain about the dumbest things. Our stay at Longhorn Ranch was excellent. The pool was great, the location was very peaceful, Our room was really, really clean (something my wife always appreciates). The owners (Jose and Neveira) were very friendly and enjoyed... More

Drove all the way from Odessa with my family to stay near Big Bend. Made reservations weeks ago for this place. When we pulled up, there were two dogs wandering around and a man working on his jeep who did not speak much English. He said that there was no one there and the place was locked up tight. So... these people are in the hospitality business. When you speak to them on the phone they should act like it. Kind of rude and unprofessional if you ask me. Every time I called I dreaded talking to the woman who answered because she was so mean. Never did end up staying there. Anyone else out there have this same reaction?

The Longhorn Ranch Motel was safe, clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious (not a typical motel breakfast) and was included in the price. After seeing all the other options in Terlingua I believe the Longhorn Ranch Motel was the best option. It's got nice views and is set apart from all the other motels.

Other lodgings in the area were filled when I planned our trip so I booked this motel about 15 miles north of Big Bend National Park. There are very few choices in this remote location. There are a couple not so bad things about the Longhorn…the place is clean and it is very quiet being out of town. There is... More

Older but very quiet, family owned and operated motel with authentic Mexican restaurant conveniently on-site. Pool in courtyard. Motel built Southwestern style. Worn but clean. Rooms have fridge and microwave. No WiFi or cell service, but step out beyond buildings and the night sky makes up for it. Owners offer to make breakfast for guests at small additional cost. (Restaurant... More

This place was wonderful. We spent 2 days in Big Bend National Park and we found this was the cheapest motel in the area. We were welcomed by the friendly owner. Our room was clean, spacious, had a fridge and microwave and the shower was great. Hot and good pressure. I specially enjoyed the comfy bed and the quality of... More

We stayed at this hotel while visit Big Bend National Park (about 15 miles outside the Study Butte). It is a small older motel, well maintained. The room, linen were all clean. The beds are comfortable. The husband and wife running the place are super nice. They ensured that we were comfortable. We had an authentic Mexican dinner. I am... More
