Wa-a-a-a-ay over priced. Rooms were somewhat clean but the gap under the door allowed just about anything to come visiting during the night. The linens and towels were clean and the staff was great. My opinion they were maybe $50-$60.00 rooms, NOT $100.00. Next trip down will check into other locations for sure. more

We decided to book one night at this motel because it was a few steps away from where we were returning after a rafting trip on the Rio Grande (see my review of the fantastic outfitter, Far Flung Adventures!). I had read the bad reviews in Trip Advisor and hoped for at least a mediocre experience. It is an old,... more

Love this motel. Not fancy but quiet and clean. The staff are generally very helpful and friendly. Has undergone recent renovations and improvements. Location is great just outside Big Bend National Park. Only NEGATIVE....don't get there late! This is the first hotel that I have ever found that has no late arrival check-in available. If you get there after 10... more

I booked the hotel 2 weeks in advance and found out that they had charged my credit card on the day I called them. After several attempts at finally getting a hold of them, they told me that this is standard policy. Sorry but this is not right. Usually your credit card is not charged unless you fail to show... more

If Chisos lodge isn't available this is a good 2nd choice. It is clean comfortable and close to some great restaurants (La Kiva, Starlight Theater) Also, close to park entrance. Their air conditioners are good for white noise. more

This was our first time to stay at the Big Bend Motor Inn. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The fellow checking us in provided us alot of background on the things to do and see in the area. The lobby area was very nice. The restaurant that accompanies the hotel was equally nice and the food was... more

Stay here and make do with the less than desireable rooms so that in the mornng you can get up and do the Roswell Scenic Drive to Saint Elyana Canyon in Big Bend np..Makes a good stop after driving all day... more

After reading some of the more negative reviews, we were a little apprehensive about this property. Due to the location, we decided to give it a try. We had our tent trailer here for 3 days and wondered if we were staying at the same place that got the negative reviews - the staff was very friendly and helpful, the... more

If you are not able to reserve a room at the Chisos Mountains Lodge (the only lodging inside Big Bend National Park and lodging that is literally next to many desirable trailheads) then Big Bend Motor Inn or Mission Lodge (the latter is just across the street) should be your next choices. This type of lodging is suitable for people... more

If you don't love Big Bend you probably wouldn't really enjoy it here. But if you do love Big Bend like I do....you'll love it here, too. The nights are cool, days are just warm and you wake up to the beauty of the desert. Is it a little dusty?.....yep, but who cares. Take a couple of jogging rounds around... more
