My wife and I stayed two nights in a cabin (not hotel) here while visiting Big Bend & doing a raft trip on the Rio Grande. As another reviewer stated most aptly, we didn't come to Terlingua for a 'spa experience.' Basic, clean, safe accomodations -- that's all we expected and our expectations were met. more

I stayed here my first night in Terlingua. I paid $59.00 including tax for my room. I would describe Room #27 as clean, the decor is dated, quite, no TV...just basic accommodations Did you come to the Big Bend/Terlingua area to have a "spa experience"? I know I did not! It is all about the outdoors here in my estimation.... more

What a horrible place and horrible people. I called to reserve a room and told the woman I was bringing a dog. We checked in the next night only to have a woman come banging on our door saying we didn't tell her about the dog. She finally agreed the woman who took the reservation did not write it down,... more

We stayed in one of the cabins at the CMCM over Labor Day weekend. It was clean, it was air conditioned. Beds were adequate. There is a small kitchen area, we used the fridge (full-sized) but nothing else. They provide soap, but no shampoo/conditioner or body lotion. There is no TV in the cabins. If you are looking for an... more

My review of this place has to be broken into two parts because of the service I received by two different ladies at the Office..... We arrived around 6pm and was greeted by a woman that couldn't have been any nicer. She handed me two keys to two different Cabins and told me to take my pick. After we visited... more

My 80-year-old Mom and I visited Big Bend and stayed at CCMC for 3 nights. The room wasn't much to look at but, the AC was cold, the TV showed the NBA Playoffs, and the neighboring guests were nice and it was quiet at night. Also, during the day for that matter! The owner provided a styrofoam cooler for us... more

We stayed ine night at the cliff dwellings, the suite had everything that their web site promised and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I was a little worried about sending in a check to reserve the suite but it actually worked out better since that expense was paid three months in advance it was almost like a free... more

Prior to arriving, we had two terribly unprofessional calling experiences: 1) We were persuaded not to reserve a condo for the extent of our trip (6 nights) because there were "plenty" of rooms, and once we reserved it was final. 2) A follow up call was answered by a woman who was "working" but was not at the hotel (at... more

We had 2 seniors, 2 adults in there 40s and children aged 8 and 10 staying in the Creek House. It cost us $679 for 4 nights. As we pulled in to the long driveway to the "Creek House, we exclaimed almost in unison "this can't be it!" The rather ramshackle house was a single building living room with a... more

wow, the last reviewer was really harsh! we also had a single room and although it was small, it was fine for us. by the time we got done hiking every day all we wanted to do was crash anyway! no tv, but we were so busy that we wouldn't have bothered to watch it - bring a book instead!... more
