Below is a message from Claire, my friend and the owner of the Talbot Street B&B. This is Claire's note on the official Talbot Street B&B website, which will come down at the end of October 2012: " THANK YOU! Because of you, our wonderful guests and supporters, we've had an amazing 10 years here at Talbot Street Bed and... More

We just returned from spending 2 nights at the Talbot Street B&B.. It was a perfect place for us as we were visiting relatives in Taylor. Unfortunately Claire's nephew had died in Afghanistan and was out of town for a few days. She arranged for a friend to let us in and make sure we were comfortable. We assured her... More

We came in town for the Taylor International BBQ Cookoff and rented the whole place out. We were not disappointed. Claire is a great host, the house is totally cool and the breakfast was great too. Talbot St. is the perfect place to base yourself for a BBQ Belt adventure. We'll be back Claire!

I had the great fortune to stay at the Talbot Street B&B from Oct 2007 to Oct 2009. Yes, that's 2 years. I would have written this review earlier but I wanted to keep it secret. The house is well located, impeccably adorned, and full of antiques and articles of interest. Claire, the owner and keeper, is like a family... More

I have stayed at Talbot Street Bed and Breakfast on several occasions. We have family in the area and it is always a treat for us to stay close by at the homey-feeling B&B instead of a hotel. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Taylor, or anywhere else in the Austin area for that matter. You... More

I took my husband to the Talbot Street B & B as a surprise Birthday gift! HE LOVED IT!! We have stayed in many B&B's, but this surpassed them all! We live just 2 blocks away, but we felt like we had been transported to a relaxing vacation area. Claire is a fantastic host, starting with the "fresh from the... More

A wonderful experience. A nicely decorated historic home. The proprietor can fill you in on Taylor history. A small town with a surprising amount of claims to fame. Close to world renowned BBQ and Two stepping. Ask about the Dutch Baby. You'll be glad you did!!!

Great place. Wonderful old house, impecably decorated. Host is expert on history of house, history of Taylor and things to do in and around Austin. Breakfast was wonderful on both days of our stay. Can't wait to return.

I had the pleasure of staying at this bed and breakfast for 2 nights in July. It was an absolutely wonderful experience! The house is awesome, the decorating is unbelievable, the food is scrumptuous, and the hosts are super friendly and accommodating! I would definitely recommend the Talbot House for anyone looking for not only a restful night's sleep and... More
