We were going to Spicewood to visit my brother and his wife and my husband found this place online for us to stay as a mini vacation for us. What an amazing place!!! The log cabin was so cozy and sitting out on the porch in the morning and evening and watching the deer come around to eat was sooo... More

What a wonderful place to spend our first anniversary! Perfect little place to relax and unwind... and explore new wineries! It was pretty chilly in late December, so we didn't walk down to the lake. L.C. dropped by every day to feed the animals, and make sure all was well. A great stay!

This was a real experience that doesn't come around to often. The owners are super hospitable. LC's wife made us fresh cookies each day. Each morning waking up having coffee, then around 8 or 9 am the deer would come out of the forest. The cabin is a nice, romantic place that brings back memories of my childhood. LC recommended... Booked Chanticleer for my boyfriend's 40th birthday. He loves the outdoors and Chanticleer was perfect! We woke up each morning, sat on the porch with coffee in hand, and watched all the deer gather around. The inside was so cozy! We even ventured out to Marble Falls for a bit to see the Walkway of Lights. It's a beautiful place!... More

Everything was easy for this beautiful cabin: reserving by phone, paying, directions (even with construction), and most importantly, enjoying ourselves. This is a gorgeous, quaint, small cabin in Spicewood conveniently located near several attractions in Spicewood and Marble Falls, but far enough to be very private. The screened-in porch, donkeys, multiple deer sightings, and lake access are delightful. The cabin... More

What a sweet little spot to chill with a glass of wine, play games on the sleeping porch, and take in the scenery. We loved how cozy and clean the cabins and grounds were kept. Loads of little touches. We felt pampered without anyone hovering over us.

We enjoyed the cabin very much. We loved the secluded location, and wanted to take the screened porch home with us. We could not resist feeding the donkeys, checking on the chickens and playing horseshoes. The spring weather was perfect, and we enjoyed a few wine tours that were an easy drive. We also toured the cave at Longhorn State... More

Loved the quiet, the nature and the peaceful surroundings. No wi-fi meant it would force you to calm your mind. Take the opportunity. When we wanted it, we could get a bit of service through 3G service from our provider.

The Chanticleer Log Cabin is a very special place where you can almost imagine what life was like in the Texas Hill Country 100 years ago - but with modern conveniences. Herds of deer, a roadrunner family and abundant birds are frequent guests. The stars on a dark, clear night are stunning and the far-off coyote wails remind you that... More

We enjoying stay at B&B's and cabins at least once a year. This was our first visit here the directions were great, it wasn't as isolated as we assumed. We arrived and all you see is beautiful hills trees surrounding your cabin and 2 cute little donkeys. You really don't have to leave but I would bring good for late... More
