Wifey and I decided to head to South Padre Island and noted the KOA there got good reviews, so we signed up for a few nights in one of the premium pull in spaces. The site is gorgeous, with a great windshield view of the bay, a private deck in the front, a nice concrete patio on the side and... More

The reason I chose to stay here is that I had friends who were staying here in their motorhomes and I wanted to stay nearby. Otherwise, a condo rental or hotel would probably have been a better value for the money. The "Suite" Cabins are small but comfortable for 1 or 2 people. I didn't travel with kids, but they... More

The cabin was nice and the scenery couldn't be better. It was just the right size for two. The food was great and priced right. We ate there several times. Wookie lived it and gave it 5 stars for dogs. We recommend both for your next trip to this Texas coast.

I won a couple of night's stay here and then added two more nights. We arrived late but the directions and the key were waiting for us. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was very clean and comfy. It had all the comforts of home. The view was beautiful. Staff was very nice. Pool was nice and clean.... More

The campsite was well maintained and staff were friendly upon our arrival. We stayed in a Regal Row site, which I felt was worth every cent, given that the regular sites were much more compact, on gravel and didn't have the cool patio AND deck. Our 31 foot motorhome and car were able to fit easily. Location of the park... More

My family stayed at the pearl suites directly in front of the beach. Great view! The room was nicely decorated, with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms and kitchen and had plenty of room. We enjoyed our stay a lot and had lots of fun on the beach. The only thing I would try to change is the pool. It needs... More

For a KOA, which usually has some basics you can expect, this was lacking. Internet does not work, don't expect it. The front bathrooms were locked by 5pm with a "sorry" sign, but the apology doesn't help much when there are almost 200 sites in a campground and 3 shower/ bathroom stalls to serve all guests. For $65 (mid-priced site,... More

This KOA is located on the south end of South Padre Island. Convenient location for the beaches, but not really within walking distance. Very crowded and tight. Reservations for a pull-through do not guarantee a pull-through. The park is all gravel and asphalt. Asphalt roads, large gravel at the sites, difficult for bare feet. Absolutely no green areas for dogs... More

In reality there really is NO wifi here as advertised. Only access is going to the office building & even that required them to re-set it. Very disappointing if it is a factor in your stay. There is no beach, and the pool is a zoo (& cloudy color) on weekends. Staff tried to help but all they can do... More

I booked the Airstream for 2 nights. Palm trees was just soothing, nice winds. The Bed was comfortable (Very Important factor for me). There were 2 TV's. Kitchen was well equipped. Airstream was well maintained and Clean. Just make sure do not use Hair Dryer and AC together, power will shut down. When I called the office for help, they... More
