The hotel's charm appealed to us immediately, as did the off-season, non-weekend price. Nestled between the mammoth high- rise monsters, this little place is relaxing and comfortable. Tracy at reception was especially nice, as we had changed our original reservation twice due to our son's unexpected surgery. We loved the pool and found the restaurant just what we were looking... I visited The Palms Resort Sept. 12th-15th when my best friend came to visit from Idaho and let me say we both LOVED it! With that being said we are not the kind of girls that are overly concerned with being pampered and 5 star amenities but we do do expect a clean place with a great view when staying... More

The room was clean and it smelled very good when we walked in. The location was perfect, right in the beach. We were very happy with our stay and we would definitely come back. We ate at the cafe and the food was good. Check in and out was an easy process. Overal we were pleased with our experience.

Did not stay at the hotel but went to cafe for drinks while on the beach. The waiter was very friendly and made great conversation but the drinks were not good for the price. Seemed to be very watered down

I'm writing this not as a review in total of the 'resort'. We went to the café for breakfast. I will comment that the exterior of the place looked like a 1970's average motel. Nothing special enough on the exterior to make me think resort. There was no continuous sidewalk with ramp down the side of the bldg wide enough... More

I am so sorry you didn't enjoy your visit to our Café. Regarding the sun shades, so many of our guests prefer the sun shades to be up to maximize their view of the ocean. Others prefer them to be down to provide additional shade from the sun. We try to please everyone, but every guest has their own preference... More

Our family stayed at The Palms Resort last Thursday through Sunday. We chose The Palms because of the price and the mostly positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Although not inexpensive, the rooms were cheaper than many other locations on the island. Our room was on the second floor on the south side of the building and we had a pretty good... More

Our experience at The Palms was like staying at a 'family style' owned & operated cozy hotel with many features & benefits! Having vacationed in SPI many times, staying at different hotels, we found The Palms to be a low key boutique style experience. Convenient with everything you need to feel comfortable & enjoy your vacation. It's all there, beachfront... More

Let's start out with the positives - the room was fairly clean and the restaurant is outstanding (which I'll review separately). We stayed at the Palms last weekend (7/25 - 7/27) based on some positive reviews and the pretty photos on their website. Unfortunately, the room doesn't look like the photos on the website. The room is dated with chipped... More

I'm happy that you enjoyed our restaurant, but very sorry your guest room did not live up to your expectations. We upgrade and update our rooms regularly...a couple at a time. It sounds like you were in one of our older rooms, which is probably getting a makeover this fall. We do still have two guestrooms with smaller bath vanities... More

This hotel was very well maintained, the rooms were very large, also the staff was very friendly! We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it! The pool had a very awesome view of the ocean and the short walk to the ocean on the private entrance was very convenient! Great place to Stay!

Needed a place to stay one night on SPI. Totally will endorse this place for its location, value, and old school beach resort vibe. The beaches at SPI are lined with all sort of high rise condos and beach homes. The Palms has a low key charm to it. Rooms are comfortable, with kitchen facilities if you need them. Nice... More

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. I was so pleased to read your review because your experience is exactly what we hope to achieve every time. And the good news is that we don't take spring-breakers (at least not those under 25 years of age), so that low-key... More
