Whenever we come to South Padre we stay at the Marisol Condominiums. We stayed at 107 and all the kitchen appliances have been updated and are brand new. The huge fridge was a plus because we were able to store all of our food. The new stove is amazing as well. The bathroom was also updated with a new walk-in... More

I wanted to write an update / follow-up to my review (“What Happened to This Place?”) in 2012 with the Marisol. Let me just say, the folks at the Marisol redeemed themselves - the construction and the rudeness are gone. What you now have is a prime-location along the beach and a family atmosphere. We'll definitely be back and I'm... More

Currently staying for a month at the Marisol, for the first time. It's location can't be beat, right on the beach at South Padre Island. The pool area is well sheltered, and great for afternoon activities. The fenced and gated property is well maintained by a friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is the age of the condo units, now... More

yes there were issues at the marisol this year due to resurfacing the outside of the building because it is over 30 years and two recent hurricanes. we have a new manager and the construction mess is over and things are getting back to normal. give us another try.

This was a perfect place to stay on a budget. Went there with a group of friends and stayed in a two bedroom one bath condo. Fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans dishes). HEB (groceries) a drive over the bridge ten minutes away. After getting groceries we headed to the beach all day. When tired or needing restroom it was just... More

Checked in. Didn't give us gate code for after hours. Toilet leaked from bottom. Only changed towels twice a week. Had to go do own laundry to get clean towels. Checked in on a friday, with 4 ppl, and received 4 towels at check in for our trip. Person in office not very helpful or service oriented. Toaster didn't work.... More

I didn't know about the maintianence, I made our reservation before the post-it sticky was on the website. The office staff did not mention it at check in either... Of course there will be pros and cons to everyone's stay - I saw the maintianence as a pro. We didn't have a balcony, but, we didn't really miss it much... More

I'll echo what Melissa said - our family has been coming to the Marisol for nearly 30 years, usually during the 4th of July week. This year was the complete opposite of what we had come to know as charming, fun, and family focused beach front condo. The place was a disaster zone on the outside; we were given ZERO... More

I would like to apologize that this guest had a bad experience. It is always the goal of the Marisol to provide our guests with nice accommodations, and good friendly service. If the guest will give us another opportunity he will see that the construction is complete and that we have a new manager, who joined us on 13 August,... More

We have been coming to the Marisol for several years now. Always been a great experience, but this year is very different. Upon arrival, we were informed the balconies were under construction. Our ocean view is now of a construction zone. We have been awake at 8am every morning due to noise, there is no grass for the kids to... More

Marisol Condominiums has been going through a major renovation this summer, but it is now finished. Yes, there was scaffolding throughout the outer portions of the building, and construction workers were going and coming in the outer perimiters in order to do their jobs, but the swimming pool, which is nowhere near the construction area, and beach, which is just... We have had accommodations at Marisol since 1998. We have stayed in several of the units and always had a great time. So what if the ac is on the blink, the manager will get it fixed. So what if there are a few roaches, or ants, or sand on the floor. That can be handled quickly. Seriously, this is... More
