Checked in with problems. The desk clerk was untidy and not prepared for our arrival. The hotel is run by a family who lives on the property. I have stayed at this motel before and our experience has been the same each time. We have family in Smithville and need a place to stay and this is the only place. Traveling to Roundtop Flea Market Preview Week-end and made reservations for 3 nights. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, room was clean and comfortable, atmosphere was quiet and reassuring. This was a great deal and it served our purpose well! Will definitely stay again. more
