What a fun surprise to find in a small town! We decided to attend a friend's college graduation at the last munute and couldn't find a decent room in Lubbock. This museum / bed and breakfast is truly a treasure. The rooms are very nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. In addition, the history of the building is very interesting. Keep... More

Fantastic place to stay, extremely comfortable and the warmest welcome . Historical documents & photos everywhere (it is a museum piece!) AND the best breakfast in Texas - what's not to like! Hope to be back one day!

Years ago I saw a feature on the Harvey House on one of the many Texas highlight shows . Having gone to Texas Tech I was well acquainted with the town of Slaton , but had no idea this little gem was there. Our host was informed & gracious , filling us in on the local history of Slaton &... More

You never can tell what will be yielded from an impromptu stop! A renewed appreciation for a bed and breakfast that is heaped with historical significance and made a new friend is what happened on August 13, 2015. The new director is bringing new energy and new ideas that will delight anyone who stops at THE SLATON HARVEY HOUSE. Highly... More

We chose the Harvey House in Slaton for a weekend reunion of Gladys' Girls, four generations of females who gather to honor our family heritage, reconnect, and just have fun together. This historic B&B has been lovingly restored and is cared for by members of this small community. The manager, Jessica, made sure that everything went smoothly during our stay.... More

We stayed in the Apache room a couple of nights ago and loved both it and HH. It is a bit like spending the night in a museum - but one which has all modern conveniences. The building has been lovingly restored and all 4 bedrooms are pretty much as they were in the early 1900s - but with AC,... More

The newly restored Harvey House in Slaton is one of the last remaining Harvey House Restaurant buildings in Texas. The beautifully restored building is now an special events center, as well as an excellent Bed and Breakfast. New Manager, Will Cooper, is an interesting and well-informed host, with a family background connected to the Santa Fe railroad. The building features... More

I didn't stay here but took a tour and really enjoyed all the history of this old train stop. The rooms are beautiful and I will stay here next time I stop in Slaton. I don't think there is a bad room here, they all looked great. It is a very quaint bed and breakfast in a historical train station.... More

My wife and I were on a road trip from San Diego to Austin to visit our daughter and we made two stops, both at old Train Station hotels. We had been to La Posada in Winslow many times but the Harvey House in Slaton was new for us. It was perfectly located for our trip down the pan handle... More
