The Irish Inn is showing its age. We have stayed there before and are sad to see its decline. Mildew, dirt, old sheets, and a rude manager. Neither the first or second iron I asked for worked. I checked out after one night without knowing if another motel had a room. Who could resist a motel named Irish Inn in a town named Shamrock? We selected it because we were traveling with two dogs. The room was dirty, the bathroom floor was filthy, and the blanket had holes and did not cover the bed. On the plus side, the hot breakfast was made with real food and cooked by real people. more

This hotel is so much fun! It is older, and a tad rough around the edges, but it is clean, and if a fun Route 66 experience is what you're after you will enjoy the amenities.
