We paid 49.99 and that included a hot breakfast. The room was large and clean and very nice with a double bed, hutch for the TV, table and chairs, plus a desk. Excellent WIFI. Only negative is a very small bathroom that could use new ceramic. Restaurant next door was very reasonable with good food. more

The Irish Inn is showing its age. We have stayed there before and are sad to see its decline. While the Inn needs maintenance and updating, the roomsa re fairly large, clean, and furnished with "real" furniture. The front desk personnel are friendly and helpful. While the indoor recreation area is no longer the social center, and the pool bar... more

Mildew, dirt, old sheets, and a rude manager. Neither the first or second iron I asked for worked. I checked out after one night without knowing if another motel had a room. I wasn't staying, regardless. There are several chain hotels in the town, and I would recommend ANY over this place. I told the manager to expect my review... more

On St Patricks Day, happened to be passing Shamrock and thought it would be fun to stay at the Irish Inn. The motel is old,but has a certain 1960's charm. A bit shabby, but I found it clean enough and a decent value. However, I must say that the desk clerk that night was absolutely the most unpleasant, crankiest person-hardly... more

While making my trip across country, I decided to find a place to crash away from some strong storms moving through the area. The hotel at first sight was a little frightening, it looked old and worn down, probably from storms in the area im sure. The room numbers on the doors were held up with tape and the building... more

Who could resist a motel named Irish Inn in a town named Shamrock? We selected it because we were traveling with two dogs. The room was dirty, the bathroom floor was filthy, and the blanket had holes and did not cover the bed. On the plus side, the hot breakfast was made with real food and cooked by real people. more

This hotel is so much fun! It is older, and a tad rough around the edges, but it is clean, and if a fun Route 66 experience is what you're after you will enjoy the amenities. The air conditioners are super-cool, and the rooms are spacious. Be sure to request an indoor room, next to the pool, which is open... more

On our whole five-week road trip from Eureka, California to Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and back again along Route 66, this was our very worst experience. We opted to stay in the small town of Shamrock, Texas, thinking it would be less harrowing than trying to stay in one one of the big cities nearby. Big mistake! There was little to choose... more

We were just passing through and only needed to stay one night. Clean, quiet and large room with all the extras. Right on the highway, very convienient. Fast and friendly service, a great value. Good BBQ roadhouse just about a mile away, ask the front desk for directions. But don't plan on having a Bud or glass of Chardonay with... more

the rooms are clean and quite. The a/c cools the room quickly and the free breakfast is a must to get up for--good and hot not just a donut and juice but eggs, bacon, sausage, pancake, biscuits and gravy. The gift shop has some cute things just be sure to book rooms together if staying in a group; however, they... more
