Motel is not the creme of the crop but it wasn't dirty--just aged. Room was clean. Bathroom-and shower were acceptable--clean and functionable. However, the towels were "cheesy" thin, no fiber to them-- maybe something like you would get in a "flop-joint" so to speak. No coffee in the room. My daughter and I had to make a quick trip to visit Texas State University. I found a cheap hotel with a vacancy at the Econolodge online. I was plesantly surprised at the neatness and cleanliness of the room at the price we paid. AC worked well. Very important! Daughter is attending school there. We will make it our regular place of accomodation when in San marcos. Also Pool was clean. more

My family had a nice stay at this hotel, beds were new and comfortable, carpet seems new and room had nice smell. I would recommend your lodge and I'll stay here again. Liked the location as very near to University and Outlet Malls. Breakfast need more items, staff were very helpful. Thank you for taking care for my family. more

I let my husband book and find a hotel for our stay in San Marcos. We only needed to stay for one night and I figured I could live with whatever he found. Room was dirty, carpet filthy afraid to walk on with bare feet, cobwebs in bathrooms, sheets had holes in them. Did not fill safe and would not stay here again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. more

Non-Smoking only means there is nobody smoking at the moment. Cobwebs in the bathroom; sheetrock coming off walls; filthy carpeting; towels were gray from previous use. No need to complain - Managers are college kids. Very disappointing. more
