Checked in at midnight after long drive. Computers down so they had to hand write everything. There were 2 other families waiting. Got to room and key wouldn't work. Went back down twice and finally they switched our room.

We chose the Comfort Suites for a weekend get away with our granddaughter because they mentioned in room refrigerator and microwave. The room was comfortable and clean, but Paw-Paw had to keep adjusting the air conditioner during the night. The refrigerator was only cool, even after adjusting the temperature. The motel was nice EXCEPT for the bedbugs. I was going to stay for two nights but I woke up the first morning with itching welts on my neck and shoulder (3 total). Nice hotel, but no way worth the $150 a night price. Service was good and the breakfast was your typical included one... Just felt it was not worth the price compared to Embassy Suites just down the road.

We were in town overnight for a family gathering with our child. The fold out sofa was uncomfortable for our child, but everything else was good. The bed was very comfy and the room was very clean. Will stay here again for quick trips in the future.

This was our 2nd visit to San Marcos but with a student at Texas State we will have ample opportunities to try the various properties in San Marcos.
