Great location and nice rooms. The rooms had a mini bar with a welcome basket. The decor is a little dated, but all in all a pleasurable stay.

This is a older hotel that has been cosmetically updated. The location is great for visiting Texas State and there are many resturant choices around. We stayed here while shoppng at the outlet malls and really enjoyed it here. They have an awesome hot breakfast and very clean rooms. Close to all major area attractions.

Several small things made this hotel good and not great. The parking spaces are tiny. SUV’s took up one and a third spaces each. Smaller cars had very little room to open their doors. Checked the San Marcos reviews and most value hotels in the area rated unclean. Found the Hampton very clean, full of amenities and very convenient to outlets stores. Great hot breakfast to fill up on before a day of shopping. Only drawback is that hallways definitely reveal the high usage the place gets. Book early, this place fills up fast!
