Sea berry Cottage was very inviting and comfortable. Just what we needed to unwind a bit. Although our visit was during what has become the rainy season in Texas, it didn't matter because we were in need of some "front porch sitting" and Seaberry front porch filled the bill. We will definitely request the Seaberry every time we return.

You never know what you're getting when staying at B&B's but Blaine House was a wonderful surprise! The rooms were great and the grounds were beautiful. Sheryl and Rod anticipated every need and made our stay fun and easy. They allowed us to check out late in the afternoon to accommodate the needs of all our group. Would recommend to... More

Three of my girlfriends and I stayed at Baines House B&B this last weekend for the Texas State Master Gardeners' Conference and just loved it. It was so charming. Cheryl, the owner gave us a tour and made the most delicious and beautiful breakfasts for us every morning to meet our time schedule. Our cottage had a front porch with... More

There property is comprised of several small buildings, each with their own charm. I stayed in a small house. It was clean and beautifully decorated. It felt like I was visiting Grandma in a small town. Breakfast is held in a small building at the center of it all. They happily accommodated my request for an earlier breakfast time than... More

My family and I had an amazing stay! The owners were great - very accommodating, extremely friendly, and personable. We arrived in Salado very late at night and the Russell's left the light on for us, no hassle at all. The breakfasts were very tasty and we always looked forward to our morning chats. The rooms were very cozy and... More

My daughter and I were just passing through Salado for one night, and they took us in last minute in the middle of the night and were very kind and welcoming. Gave us an adorable cottage, very roomy yet cozy at the same time. Made us a delicious breakfast the next day and showed us around before we left. VERY... More

What an incredible experience! Cozy, private cottages. Incredible rustic and charming decor. Very hospitable service. NO PHONES, NO TELEVISIONS! We survived. Treat yourself if you're ever in Salado. The Russells were so accomadating and interesting, sharing the history of the property. The food was wonderful and home-made. We easily walked to the shopping areas.

The Baines House Bed & Breakfast is the place to stay in Salado,Texas. We stayed in the Seaberry Cottage in May of 2012 and was delighted with the space, decor, and the comfort. The Russell's attention to detail from the decor in the cottage to the breakfast and the afternoon tea made the weekend get-away extra special. The Russell's are... More

I highly recommend Baines House Bed & Breakfast to anyone spending a night or two in Salado. We stayed in their "Seaberry Cottage", and could not have asked for a better cottage. The owner, Sheryl, prepared the best breakfast the two and a half days we were there. She was also very knowledgeable about any subjet that was brought up... More

The owners are extremely rude. We stayed for our wedding and we very disappointed by there actions. We will never stay there again. The day we were supposed to check out we receive calls by the owner as if we were trying to leave without paying, tad if it wasn't stressful enough trying to finalize the details of the wedding... When planning for company in your own home, you prepare food, coffee, place settings and seating for the number of guests you expect to come. If more people appear at the door, it may be hard for you to accommodate them gracefully and graciously. That was exactly our situation. People arrived who were not our registered guests and we were... More
