Not only did our cottage at the Prairie reflect the heart of what Rachel Ashwell's style conveys to me, but the welcoming lounge, delicious breakfast at farm tables and darling attention to details quietly weaved throughout just hugged us the entire few days we stayed. Loved it! And Kathy, our hostess, was delightful-- the perfect, warm representative of prairie couture.... More

This place is wonderful. It is beautiful and amazingly peaceful! Danny served us a great breakfast in the lounge along with his adorable companion pearl the lab! We would go back again and again! If you have the chance to get to roundtop the praire is a must!

My second time at the Prairie. Fantastic experience - perfect location, great breakfast, helpful staff, quiet and clean accommodations. We stayed at Lilluput Lodge. Wonderful! Can't wait to go back. No one wanted to leave.

I went to The Prairie solo for the 25 year anniversary of Shabby Chic and I had a great time. Rachel was an amazing host taking us on a tour of all of the accommodations, eating dinner then later watching a movie with us. The food was amazing! Five star for sure. Thank you to the chef for all the... More

My husband and I stayed in the Cornflower Cottage and absolutely loved it. Could not have picked a better place to stay in Round Top. Breakfast was unbelievable. There was a fresh pot of coffee already waiting for us when we walked in the lounge. We had fresh fruit, bacon, buttered toast, hash browns and the best scrambled eggs we've... More

The overall experience was tainted by mice running around in the house where we stayed. The house was well decorated and the rooms were clean. It was quiet and private. I was not comfortable letting a toddler crawl around on the floor.

This was my second stay and I just love this place. Last time we stayed in the Bluebonnet barn but everything was booked except the cottage house, so we stayed there this time. It was at the far end of the property and way more than what we needed. A nice big house with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 family... More
