We just had our second stay at this hotel... it is as close as you can get to your own home in the Hill Country. Rocksprings is on the far Western edge of the Hill Country, at it's highest point (2,400 ft.). The former "mohair capital" of the universe, it is quaintly and attractively a bit frozen in time. But... More

This is a MUST STAY if you are near Rocksprings Texas at any time. I was stuck in a bind and needed a place to stay quickly while in Rocksprings! I made same-day reservations and accidentally discovered this gem. The owners, Deborah and her husband, have restored the hotel to exactly what I remember it being when I was a... More

The only reason you read this is if you have family in Rocksprings and don't want to stay with them... haha. This is the best place to stay out of the local places by far. If you are a going for a hunting trip, the others will suffice, if you are with family, here is where you must stay. The... More

I stayed here because of the historical significance of the property, and would recommend it to anyone. The property is historic, and is being restored, but they already have class, comfort, convenience (on the square), quality, and ambiance down pat. Debra the owner is a fun person, and full of recommendations on virtually everything. The only way I would stay... More

Three other Motorcycle Guys and myself stayed at The Rocksprings Hotel March 11, 2012. What an enjoyable experience! We were Headed down To Big Bend for the week. Debra is an amazing kind and friendly owner lady. Her facility is really neat/clean and well restored. It is across the street from a county court house that is 120 years old this... More

Both the hotel and the owner. Wasn't sure what to expect as we were riding into town, but once inside, I knew this would be a great stay. Debra was a wonderful host; almost like visiting friends. The room was comfortable and clean. And I thought the value for what you get in hospitality was worth every cent. Can't wait... More

My family has hunting property in the Rocksprings area but this was my first experience at the Rocksprings Historic Hotel. Debra (owner) was fantastic and has great courage to boot in dealing with small town politics. The hotel continues to undergo restoration but my overall experience was simply outstanding: great bed, great historic setting, great rate, plenty of hot (very)... More

Went there on a weekend birdwatching trip in early July with about 16 other Texas Ornithological Society members. What a nice place to stay - very clean and with lots of personality. Plenty of room to socialize in and outside. Shared a hollywood style 2 bedroom with a friend- shared toilet and bath, but we had separate sinks in our... More
