Let me start this review by saying we are a difficult family to please:).. I traveled with my boyfriend, my 6 and 9 year old sons from Washington state to visit my boyfriends family. A week into our trip, my boyfriends parents and his sister who is in a wheelchair and my family of 4 decieded to take a mini... more

I have been going to Hunt’s Castle for over 35 years because of the great fishing off the 1000 ft lighted fishing pier. Two years ago I was disappointed because many of the pier lights did not work. I was told the lights would be fixed however that did not happen during my 5 day stay. Each day I was... more

We read the reviews and got about what we had expected. We made reservations ahead and requested a specific room on the 2nd floor, which we were told was available. When we arrived we were told the room was not available and we were given one around the corner, which had a view, but was not the one we were... more

After enjoying a 2 night stay at Hunts Castle we headed back to Austin. We had forgotten a very important bag with business papers and checkbooks in the room. The hotel called us about an hour after we checked out to tell us they had found the bag. We did not check our messages until we arrived home. After speaking... more

We arrived at Hunt's Castle for a weekend trip to the Texas Coast. We were greeted by a large dead roach in the bathroom. The pool was so dirty we did not even go in. The next day the pool was cleaned up. The fishing pier is wobbly so be careful. The cleaning station on the pier is filthy. The... more

Its an older hotel that is in need of some work. If your looking for fishing, its an ok spot. If your looking for the beach, your gonna have to head down the road about a mile. The room was small but adequate. The bathroom stank and had holes where the sheet rock was coming off. The door had strips... more

Everything was ok until my ipod was stolen . Igot it for my last birthday ,and if you dont know its worth about 250$. I will NOT recomend this hotel to any one because the manager doesn't have any concerns and he could care less!!!!!! more

I would like to say that we are concerned with the situation although we cannot be heald responsible for anything of value left in the rooms. I understand this I-pod came up missing after your transfer to another room. We do have a long term guest in that room at this time and if for any reason it comes up...

We arrived on Friday and two police officers where taking a report. bad omen. Our room had an odor that was not pleasant. In their brochure they show they have stoves. We got the room that had a stove but no power cord. Manager said sorry. Tried to make best of situation and not let it ruin my weekend decide... more

First of all I would like to appologize for any bad experience during your stay with us. I would like to make a note for the part of the police officers being on property. In our town we have them patrol the area to keep our guest safe. If I may respond on one other part of the complaint, we...

My boyfriend and I stayed 1 night there. He was there for business, I was there for vacation. The owner/manager was very friendly, showed us a room before we paid for it. Then upgraded us to the same kind of room, only with a beautiful view. We talked with other people there and they were very friendly, even gave us... more

It started out horrible finding a room in corpus after arriving at Bayfront plaza & the room was unacceptable. Fortunately the castle had one room left :) Ken went out of his way to make sure the room was clean & ready when we arrived at 1:00am. We had such a good night sleep & was even offered hot donuts... more
