The excellent: great location, great water view from room, large well equipped room, fridge and microwave, very strong WiFi, comfortable king bed, good rate ( off season weekday). The fair: large stains in the carpet, water temperature only warm, not hot. None of the ant, mold, or odor issues others have mentioned. We would stay here again.

We stayed two nights. The staff were super, especially Monica (if I remember her name right) who helped me when the printer had no colour ink. She also offered to come to the room to give directions in order to work the shower. It was broken however. The maintenance man said it is a systemic problem with that type of... More

Had strong smell in room when we checked in, wound up being mold under mat in shower. Had to deal with ants. Could not leave out a bottle of water without them attacking it. Only thing good about this place was the location. We needed a handicap accessible room and they only have ONE in the whole motel! My side... More

Stayed there for Seafare, they had a room available for that weekend. The room was clean, large and the king size bed with lots of pillows was very comfortable. We would stay there again..the only thing that we didn't like was the unusually small toilet! Go figure!

This was in a beautiful location by the bay with a lovely park across the street. The staff at the hotel were wonderful. All was going well until after a long day I decided to take a tub bath. When I picked up the non skid mat in tub, I was grossed out to find mold beneath. Ohhhhhh that explains... More

My husband and I renewed our wedding vows after 30 years on July 4th. Took our honeymoon we never had. We stayed in posh hotels from marble falls to San Antonio to Corpus Christi and then we found this gem of a hotel in Rockport. The hotel staff here was more personable, friendly and welcoming then any of the others... More

Clean enough room, beds (too soft for me) and pet friendly. A good value. Will stay again if needed. A bit on the worn side but ok for a beach weekend when you are just there for shower and sleep. The web address leads you to the Holiday Inn next door. When calling for reservations be sure to listen to... More

Horrible. Room smelled like mold/mildew, lamps were broken and or tempormental, bed was old worn out, and way overpriced. No service. Never again! The room should have been $30 a night, was $180. My parents stayed at hunts castle for half the price, and was much nicer.

My husband and I have stayed at this particular motel quite a few times, and for the most part we have enjoyed our stays. However, we have noticed that over the last couple of years the motel has become a little worse for wear. The carpets are definately in need of a good cleaning, the bedspread was full of animal... For what was charged the hotel was very nice. Beautiful lobby with much character. Had a central elevator which many motels in this price range do not. Rooms and baths, although older, had been redone. Beds were comfortable and rooms large. All one really can expect at this price. Breakfast was what one normally expects for free and all one...
