My wife and I needed to get away after the conclusion of final details of settling her mother's estate. This was the perfect place. 15 Acres Retreat is peaceful, immaculately clean, roomy and tastefully decorated. We were the only guests that day, and enjoyed visiting with the hosts, Phil and Andrea. Phil gave us a tour of the available guest... More

Peaceful and beautiful place to rest one's head. I was having coffee very early while the hosts were cooking breakfast. They were preparing a wonderful looking egg souffle' - I thought for all of us, but was surprised when the entire dish was served to me! It was delicious, and I of course ate the entire serving. Wonderful setting, wonderful... More

The hosts were so gracious. Breakfasts were delicious. Not your cookie-cutter B&B, this is a lovely country home with a timeless elegance. If you need a place to stay in East Texas, this is a great option.

Our hosts were helpful and friendly, everything was clean and they thought of all the little things to make it comfortable. The breakfast was great and they even provided us with snacks while we were there. The only thing that was only... More

Just got home from a great weekend in East Texas. We joined two couples on a trip to ride in the Mineola Metric Century. We chose the 15 Acres Retreat because we wanted more than just a motel experience. The facility is located in the piney woods near the picturesque Lake Lydia. Our rooms were great and the hosts (Andrea... More

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights recently and had a marvelous time. Nicely appointed room, delicious breakfasts prepared for us, and the hosts, Phil and Andrea, were good down-to-earth folks. Very secluded surroundings and a nice private room. If you like to shop for antiques and collectables in Mineola, there are many shops to poke... More
