We had not been back to Lighthouse Marina in two years. Before that we would make trips and stay twice every summer. We were sad to see our favorite cabin that we always stayed in was totaled due to flood #76. We did stay this time in #23 and it was great. The cabin was clean and well equipped. We... More

We made our first trip to Lighthouse Resort and Marina, staying in "cabin" 24, this spring. The three of us had a nice stay for 2 nights, and we plan to return. I do have some pros and cons, as well as things I wish I'd known! On the pros, the area was clean, the prices were reasonable, and the... More

I stayed here with 2 other friends for a guys fishing trip. All in all a great place to stay, we stayed in Cabin 6 for two nights to do some fishing and relaxation. I am honestly surprised by all the negative reviews here as this place was great. The cabin was small but had everything we needed. it was... More

There's something for everyone here, folks. It's not meant to be just like every other chain motel, it's meant to be a cozy place to stay while you enjoy the outdoors, set up a fishing trip, take a boat ride, visit the parks and wildlife refuge, have a family get together, most of which my family did on their visit.... We stayed in cabin 9. Old! Floor is plywood in kitchen, living, dining which is all one room. Bath is a shower, commode and sink the size of a small closet. Couch smells as does king size bed. Also, the king bed is in a room that's down 4 or 5 steps from everything else if stairs is an issue.... More

Thanks so much for the review. We always appreciate feedback. You're right about Cabin 9, even though its one of our most popular cabins, it's one of our 40 cabins that hasn't been remodeled yet. It's on the books to happen within the next few weeks though. Here's the deal, when we bought the property 5 years ago, the 40... More

There were 6 couples at this reunion, so we rented a 2 unit duplex. We were able to keep the large doors open between both units which made it convenient to visit with everyone and plenty of seating for dining. We also had a large outside elevated sitting area with plenty of outdoor chairs. Unfortunately there were times of the... More

Look I read all these reviews - I just don't see it. We've been coming here for 16 years and have had absolutely no issues. They've done a lot to renovate this place- the experience is to be in the woods next to the water. It's not going to be a Hilton hotel experience. If you are looking for that... More

Where do I begin, I am part of a big family that reserves cabins here every year for our family reunions and averages about 12 cabins. We book a year in advance. I personally booked a 2 night stay and when I checked in they said they cancelled my reservation because I was a no show and so they gave... More
