This place is one of the BEST motels I have stayed in Port Aransas...and I have been vacationing on the island for more than 15 years. We arrived Friday July 4th, 2014 and stayed until Monday July 7th, 2014....Super Clean, Super Cute and Super Staff! The pool and hot tub were great and clean and the area so clean. They... More

Proof positive that you need not have a grand palace, to have a charming stay. Freshly-remodeled, and interesting to look at (not the same old beige wall covering and plant prints). Breakfast in the morning, walking distance from all the best food, and the proprietors know the best places - and their owners. When you're with these folks, you have... More

We flew into KRAS and were able to use the hotel's courtesy van during our stay. Very close to nice areas on the beach. This is a neat hotel for pilot's and all. We are happy the weather caused us to stay the night on the island! Great hotel and staff.

I've stayed here several times and really don't want to stay anyplace else while visiting Port A. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are decorated in themes about airplanes or flying and it's conveniently located on the main drag through town. You can walk to many of the attractions, or shopping if you like and the grocery store is... More

From the website pictures, I was expecting simple accommodations with a touch of airplane history and I was not disappointed. The room was larger than I expected and clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to restaurants and shops. It would have been a long walk or a shorter bike ride to the beach. The pool and hot tub were... More

We chose Amelia's because we were bringing our Springer Spaniel with us and needed dog-friendly accommodations. It was a great choice. Most of the rooms have been remodeled but the dog friendly rooms retain their vintage charm and ours was very clean. The fenced off-leash area was a great help. If we find our way back to Port A, we'd... More

We flew into the little airport and used our folding bicycles to make the 2.3 mile trek to the hotel. It was perfect as we made a few stops at gift shops and a lunch venue along the way. Our room was clean and just right for the two of us. The hotel is in a great location and we... More

This was a last minute trip for us to Port Aransas and we went without reservations. We decided to try out this independent hotel located right on the main street, close to everything. We were able to secure a walk in reservation and the price was reasonable despite it being Saturday night in May. We stayed in a single room... More

My husband made the reservation trying to surprise me with a long weekend trip to Port Aransas (I usually take care of hotel reservations). Being a pilot he really wanted to check the place out and go during the Sandfest. Well apparantely this place has a cancellation fee of a full nights room rate if you do not cancel within... More

Thank you for highlighting our Special Event cancellation policy. As always, there is far more to the story... This guest's husband booked the room, and was actually advised NOT to make a reservation, because the special event 7-day cancellation policy was in effect. (We have had a 7-day cancellation policy for special events for 12 years. Our normal cancellation policy... More

We went to the 2014 Sandfest (April 11-13) and, once again stayed at A.L. This time in the Amelia Earheart room #23. Much improvement around the place and, the owner's kind as ever. Not such a great value on this particular event but all else overshadowed. Had a great time on the island.
