This themed motel conversion has small, relatively inexpensive rooms on the main road through town. The rooms have pictures of airplanes and pilots on the walls, which does little to compensate for the small size, including a bathroom the size of a storage closet. The Continental breakfast served to the room consisted of a coffee packet to start, then the... More

Clean room, a bit small but we didn't spend a whole lot time there so it was fine. The owners are very friendly. Pool was nice and enjoyable. The beach is about 6 blocks away, not really walking distance with your beach gear but very easy to get to. The location seemed to be ideal to get together just about... More

It's been awhile since myself and my two young boys were there. I've been putting this review off thinking my feelings would pass but they have not. First of all not sure if the room was actually dirty, but had that grunge feel to it most likely because the ac would not cool down the room, I'm not one that... More

It's hard to know where to start with this guest's review, so I will take it sequentially: 1. Air Conditioning. The A/C unit in the Red Baron is new. No one has complained about it being hot before or since, and it has been MUCH hotter since his stay in May. 2. Cleanliness. Our rooms are the cleanest on the... More

We stayed for a couple of nights in April and had really been looking forward to staying at this hotel as i am a plane buff. Generally our stay was good and the location was good and the owners were friendly and the room was clean. If we had stayed any longer we would have asked to change room, mainly... More

We have been staying at Amelia's for quite a few years now. It never disappoints. It is walking distance to dining and drinking. The rooms are clean and well kept. If you are looking for a spa experience this is not it, but if you are looking for a clean room and a nice place to lay your head, you... More

This little establishment is one of Port A's best kept secret! Our room was so tastefully decorated, clean, cool and just roomy enough. The pool and hot tub were great too. Continental breakfast delivered every morning to our room. The office staff was awesome and so accommodating and helpful! Will definitely be staying again....and again....and again!

I stayed here this past weekend to attend the Port Aransas Artfest. A friend of mine recommended it to me and I wasn't disappointed. The owners were nice and friendly people and I was told upon arriving that they did not put up with unruly guests---for which I was grateful. Having stayed in other hotels near this property, and experiencing... More

Let me start this review by saying we will definitely stay here again. For the price and the location, I'm impressed and prefer it to Plantation Suites and Island Hotel. Bottom line is though, I look for price, so if the rates go up, I would look elsewhere, as there were a few things that were lacking, and this hotel... More

If you are looking for an affordable, clean, centrally located hotel this is a great place. It is located within walking distance of most the fabulous restaurants in Port A. The beach is about 3/4 miles away, but you can rent a golf cart or just drive down if that's too far to walk.

It's been awhile since I've stayed in motel type lodging, but this was the nicest, cleanest, friendliest place I could've picked. The staff was always very friendly and personable. They deliver continental style breakfast to your room and their housekeeping is quick and quiet (for those days you can't quite get out of bed before nine). There's also a great... More
