This place was privately owned and therefore different from corporate hotels. I strongly recommend going to this hotel’s actual website before you book for a few reasons. First of all, they have all their rules, policies, and details on their website. Second, you can see many pictures of each room to figure out which one would fit you best. You... More

Yes, the location is great - walking distance to anything in town. Contrary to other reviews, in my opinion, this motel is not worth the price. Too many "little" things and a "big" thing (lousy a/c) that added up to an uncomfortable stay. Will find another place to stay on future trips to Port A.

We take all reviews extremely seriously. In fact, we internally review every guest. (On the back side of the breakfast order form is a survey that is delivered with their breakfast on the final morning of their stay. We have over 700 reviews on file.) Additionally, we record every guest's response at check out, and specifically ask if there were... More

We stayed the night at Amelia's for mother's day weekend 2014. It was an impromptu trip and we're glad we found a room at Amelia's. Our room was very modern, extremely clean, quiet and comfortable, they say you get free breakfast but I think I have a different idea of breakfast. We received a juice box or coffee with a... More

First time visit to the island myself. My fiance found this place and I'm glad he did. Completely charmed by the staff and the aviation theme of the office. We booked a single queen room. Meaning, it had one bed whereas some other rooms had two. So the space was alil cramped. But seeing as you can tell it was... More

Basically Amelias landing is just a motel, but the owners have given it real character by theming the rooms around aviation. As it was we stayed in the Memphis Belle room. It was clean and decorated with lots of Memphis Belle related paintings and articles. There is also a fairly large model aircraft suspended from the ceiling! The pool wasn't... More

This place is one of the BEST motels I have stayed in Port Aransas...and I have been vacationing on the island for more than 15 years. We arrived Friday July 4th, 2014 and stayed until Monday July 7th, 2014....Super Clean, Super Cute and Super Staff! The pool and hot tub were great and clean and the area so clean. They... More

Proof positive that you need not have a grand palace, to have a charming stay. Freshly-remodeled, and interesting to look at (not the same old beige wall covering and plant prints). Breakfast in the morning, walking distance from all the best food, and the proprietors know the best places - and their owners. When you're with these folks, you have... More

We flew into KRAS and were able to use the hotel's courtesy van during our stay. Very close to nice areas on the beach. This is a neat hotel for pilot's and all. We are happy the weather caused us to stay the night on the island! Great hotel and staff.

I've stayed here several times and really don't want to stay anyplace else while visiting Port A. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are decorated in themes about airplanes or flying and it's conveniently located on the main drag through town. You can walk to many of the attractions, or shopping if you like and the grocery store is... More

From the website pictures, I was expecting simple accommodations with a touch of airplane history and I was not disappointed. The room was larger than I expected and clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to restaurants and shops. It would have been a long walk or a shorter bike ride to the beach. The pool and hot tub were... More
