i found the port a beach lodge as a result of skimming through this very website and reading a review on another property i was planning on staying in. may i say that this was the luckiest and most awesome thing that could have happened for my trip to mustang island last week. chuck (the owner) is about the coolest... more

I have stayed at this place several times, our last stay was for a week Aug,2007. Sorry, I am late getting my newest review out here. I will say The Beach Lodge is not for everyone, but if your looking for a laid back atmosphere a real island experieance then this place is for you. It has all you need... more

Just a great place all around. Owners are great, help is great, food ect. The people all make you feel at home. Even the locals that frequent the place are great fun. My wife and I had seven days of great fun there and looking forward to going back next year. We own a resort at lake of the Ozarks... more

My Wife and I came here and loved the relaxed atmosphere. The owner's Chuck and Gaye are super nice people. They Have a cool Bar, jukebox, and really nice deck that we used for our wedding reception. They let us bring tons of decorations, lights, and 50 people as they catered the wedding reception. We got a band to play... more

This is a great place to stay, just like staying with good old mom, the food is the best on the island and you can walk to the beach. What more could you want. It keeps me coming back. more
