People have to remember that many of these rooms are privately owned, and managed. 306 is one of those. The condo was nicer than some 5 star hotels. Updated everything in these units, and many TV's for the kiddos after the beach. Everything about this condo is awesome. The view, the location, everything inside and out. The owner has thought... We chose to stay here based on recommendation from Alamo City Moms' blog. Suite 210 was recently remodeled & very nice. However, when we pulled up, my husband admitted he was scared based on the outside. (Each condo is separately owned so look at the pix online!) This was our kids' first beach experience. They're 7 & 4. So it... More

Well we had a great trip- the Mayan needs some updating and repairs. Pros: The staff was nice, and the beach was clean. Very close to the beach. Halfway down the island so an easy commute to corpus or port a. Cons: the building needs updating. We had a leak from floor above, our lock stopped working and they had... More

Our family of five plus one friend were so looking forward to our stay. While the grounds, pool area and proximity to the beach were great, our room #313 was terrible! It was in need of MAJOR renovations!! I can not believe we paid what we did for the room. The blinds were broken in the master bedroom and in... More

While there are always pros and cons when staying somewhere, the cons outweighed the pros of the Mayan Princess. First, the pros. The property is right on the beach so it is a very quick walk to the beach, which during the week is pretty quiet. The beach got a little crowded on the weekend, but that is to be... More

The owners are not keeping up with repairs. Window treatments need replaced, carpets dirty, appliances not working, walls cracked and chipped, supplies not replaced like silverware etc. dining room not open, no breakfast offered. Front desk was nice though. Pool was nice. Will not come back here.

Let me start by saying that our weekend did not start like we planned. We originally booked another hotel but were horrified to find black mold in the vents of 3 different rooms. I am pregnant so being extra cautious, we checked out with the hopes of finding somewhere else to stay. I called Mayan Princess as we were literally... More

Room 505 is not at all like the pics show. Refrigerator did not work, & kitchen faucet did not work properly. Only 2 burners on stove worked, shower in master bath smelled like rotten eggs, Master bath door hit the air exchange cover and will not close, beds are old, noisy and rickety. Wifi only worked if you went outside... More

We arrived and upon arrival it smelled like trash or broken garbage disposal considering no trash was in the room. We told the front desk and they must have fixed the issue when we returned the smell wasn't as bad but still stinchy. The room was very outdated. The huge glass doors and balconys made up for that though considering... More

So I must admit I've stayed at this place a few times, the first time I wasn't real impressed with the unit we rented, this time we had two units for the first couple days and then slimmed down to one for the last day. Let me start with the staff, I found most of the staff to be quite... More

Thank you for such a complete review of our property. We appreciate you taking the time to write your review. We do have beautiful units and the views from each and everyone is spectacular. It is a short walk down our private boardwalk to the pristine beaches along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Our beautiful tropical pools are superb. All... More
