Family of 4, 2 kids, live in the area, camping with a pop up camper. If you need a couple amenities provided with your beach camping, IB Magee is BY FAR the best value for miles and miles. Camping ON the beach is free after the purchase of an annual parking permit of $12, but I think a public restroom... More

This is a no frills RV park. Therefore, it's very reasonably priced. The showers and laundry room are very clean and the park itself is very quiet. You can hear the ocean waves from your campsite. Each site has a picnic table, water and electricity. No sewer, so I would suggest investing in a dump tank. We will be back.

My husband and I have stayed at just about every RV park on the island at one time or another. IB Magee is the easiest and nicest. You cant beat the price or the location and space. The only amenity the other parks have that IB Magee doesnt is a pool. but I never understood why you came to the... More

Great price for a few nights on the beach. There were a lot of RVs and tent campers. Bathrooms were clean. Steps from the water. Only issue would be the campers across from us thinking it was ok to be naked when there were a lot of children about. However, this does not reflect an issue with the park. Wifi... More

TENT CAMPERS NOT WELCOME! If you Don't have your own toilet and you wake up and think for a minute you can go upstairs and relieve your self you are "poop" out of luck. Bathrooms close from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. But after showing up on 3 occasions at 7 am or 7:15 am. The bathrooms were already closed.... More

Nice and clean. Spacious sites for rv or tent. Close to beach, just a hop around the office and you are on beach. Covered picnic tables. Arrived on a Thursday after school back in. Restrooms were clean. Water pressure in showers awesome. I will definitely be back.

First time beach camper here! Sand was dirty, first come first serve on the spots even with reservations. Restrooms & shower areas really bad!! Bring quarters to shower. Nothing to do other than sit on the beach. Water stinks and is dirty. Sorry but, this place sucked! Just get a hotel and relax on your vacation. Don't be cheap!

The Beach area is still good except there was lots of seaweed that washed ashore. We arrived on a Sunday and the county came to clean the beach up on Friday before the weekend rush came again. The bathrooms at the park were very well kept last year but not so clean this year, the men complained that the showers... More

We generally camp on the beach down at the 1A access area but decided to try for a few more amenities. Having water and electricity were nice. The restrooms and shower facilities were nice. A restroom in the camp area for tenters would be nice. We had quite a walk to use the bathrooms. The site was very undefined as... More

I have always stayed at Mustang Island State Park, but due to last minute plan changes for vacation at the beach instead of Colorado, MISP was booked. We both preferred the I. B. Magee park over MISP due mostly in part to the fact that their restroom/shower facilities were 1000% above and beyond those at MISP ... 3 - 4... More
