Note that this is a very good restaurant with about 4 rooms above it. Staff was great! They were attentive, helpful, and just excellent. But house was what B&B's were 20 yrs ago. Small, sparse rooms with bathrooms carved out of corners. First room we were shown had sink in room, toilet behind a louvered door 3 feet from bed, and most of louvers were broken out. Second room better, but not much better as bathroom door wouldn't close, sink, shower, mirror for munchkins, bare wood floors with peeling paint, and burned out light bulbs.. Never could get my internet to connect, although I had no problem at local McDonalds or at next night's B&B.

Biggest problem was location. Trains run 100 feet from B &B, and non-prortected crossings for several blocks means train blows horn all the way past B&B.. Was awakened 5 or 6 time throughout night.

Bottom line, really great staff and above average made-to-order breakfast, but dated rooms and train problems... more
