The Kuebler Waldrip Haus Bed and Breakfast was the first B&B I’ve stayed at. The house is beautiful and full of history and character. Its rustic walls are covered in stone and old wooden planks and it is decorated in an eclectic and unique style that I absolutely loved. The property surrounding the house was so serene; I’ve never heard... More

Lovely property, owners, breakfast, rooms. The Hillside Hideaway was so lovely and cozy. We were with someone who stayed in the downstairs Kuebler Kastle, which was really big and beautiful. A list to help determine if it's the B&B for you: Pros: -- Historic house from 1870s. Stone walls, some barn-wood walls, exposed wooden beam ceilings, old family photos everywhere.... More

Many of our wonderful Bed and Breakfast guests upon arrival enjoy a greeting, a tour of the property, instructions about breakfast and shown our common room with the refreshments. I and my staff also try to answer any questions that the guests may have to help them with finding area attractions, wineries, downtown New Braunfels or Historic Gruene. Thank you... More

I have never stayed at a B&B. I had planned a girl week with my mom and Aunt and looked into many places to stay, decided on this one. We drove up this gravel driveway, first thing that caught my eye were the deer and then this beautiful stone house. Our host was Darrell Waltrip. He and the 3 cats... More

Bed and Breakfast guests find us from many different avenues of advertising and about 20-25% of our guests are new bed and breakfast guests that have never stayed at a B&B. This wonderful guest was one of the new guests and she loved it. We now have a feeder on the property for the deer and a watering station for... More

We chose this B & B for its rustic charm and it was that. Margy was a wonderful host who was a wealth of knowledge about this place and the surrounding countryside. Our breakfast both days was delicious and plentiful. We have visited B&B's all over the world, and they have a much different atmosphere than a "chain" hotel. We... More

Our bed and breakfast is definitely a unique one and each of our 10 rooms are considered special and unique. These wonderful guests stayed in the West Room in the Danville Schoolhouse building with a king bed, a shower bath and a shared porch outside. I want to thank the guests for their thoughtful suggestions to add a dresser, a... More

This place is VERY rustic. Not the cute, romantic type of B&B. Very casual. They also allow children. ...and often house family retreats - so take care with your selection if you want a quiet weekend away. IF you want a place for the family in New Breunfels, this is great. Would not recommend for couples. Breakfast was bad. Regular... More

Thank you for your review and suggestions. We check-in guests and give them a tour of the property as part of the check-in process. We give a little history of the property, times for breakfast, show the common room where we serve drinks, snacks and Blue Bell Ice Cream. We have a wonderful large hot breakfast that includes fresh fruit,... More

First-class bed & breakfast. We stayed in the schoolhouse and it was very clean, comfortable, cool AC, and great wi-fi! The morning breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The owners we're very hospitable. Great place and would recommend to anyone.

Our 10 person family rented the schoolhouse part of this historic and charming bed and breakfast in New Braunfels over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The schoolhouse is separate from the main house, and is perfect for a group of up to 14. It has a well stocked, small kitchen, a large living area and acres of land for kids... More

After staying in B&Bs in most western states, how great to discover that the BEST of them all is right here in our home state!! The accommodations are spotless and comfortable, with a lot of character. The breakfast was unlike anything we have ever experienced, and Margy and Darrell were cordial hosts. We will be going back!
