First-class bed & breakfast. We stayed in the schoolhouse and it was very clean, comfortable, cool AC, and great wi-fi! The morning breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The owners we're very hospitable. Great place and would recommend to anyone.

Our 10 person family rented the schoolhouse part of this historic and charming bed and breakfast in New Braunfels over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The schoolhouse is separate from the main house, and is perfect for a group of up to 14. It has a well stocked, small kitchen, a large living area and acres of land for kids... More

After staying in B&Bs in most western states, how great to discover that the BEST of them all is right here in our home state!! The accommodations are spotless and comfortable, with a lot of character. The breakfast was unlike anything we have ever experienced, and Margy and Darrell were cordial hosts. We will be going back!

We were visting Gruene to attend the Wine and Music Fesitval and decided to stay at Kuebler. We stayed in the Deer Haven cottage. It wa very nice, was not sure what to expect as their website only had one picture of the cottage....but I was very impressed. Ample size bathroom and Kitchen and 3 bedrooms (well not really, as... Our extended family of 29 spent a great weekend here this summer. The accommodations were comfortable, and we enjoyed every minute of our time here. Breakfast was fabulous each morning, and they were very willing to cook items that were great for small children as well as adults! Our family doesn't all get together very often, and we had a... What a treat to be greeted by Darrell and Margie and welcomed into their B&B! And grandson, William, was as smart and resourceful as a docent or tour guide. He knew the rules of the rivers, restaurants, and activities! A seven year old adult - just precious! The accommodations were so very comfortable you almost forgot to put on your... More

We stay here every time we are in the area. Family run and very friendly, but don't come here if you are allergic to cats. We enjoy them, but not everyone does. The breakfast is a real home cooked breakfast that will keep you going well into the afternoon. The conversation around the breakfast table has always been great. We... More

My wife and I took a trip just to get away. The host were very all wonderful, the food great, the location fantastic and met our needs perfectly. Darrell, Margie and Anthony were very hospitable. The original room dating to the early 1800s was very interesting. The expansion using old wood is very well done. I agree with previous readers... More

My wife and i recently got away for a short vacation on short notice. I called the Kuebler Waldrip B&B on a recommendation from a co-worker, and they had availability on the days we wanted. My wife was sold as soon as she found out they had numerous cats, as she is indeed a "cat lover" When we arrived we... More

Turn into the property and passing the white fence entrance, guests are greeted by open spaces and Texas forest, some wildlife and resident pets, and then enter the Kuebler Waldrip Haus Bed and Breakfast. Established in 1987, guests can relax on 43 acres just 4-6 minutes to Historic Gruene & New Braunfels and only 30-45 minutes to San Antonio and Austin, Texas. Enjoy staying in our popular bed and breakfast established in 1987. Total number of rooms are 10 separate rooms (8 rooms, 1 2-room suite, and 1 cottage) in three luxuriously restored buildings. Total number of guests range from 22-33 and we do welcome families. Children welcome from 0-100. In 1974, Margy and Larry Waldrip and their three sons, Dibrell, Darrell and David bought and moved to the property once owned by a french wine merchant, Francois Guilbeau. The main house was built in 1847 and was owned by Andreas and Katherine Pape of Hanover, Germany until 1900. The second family was Willie and Olga Kraft and children, and they owned the property from 1900 until 1974 when the Waldrip family purchased the property. The main house has been lovingly restored and added to. Our buildings include: The Waldrip Haus, an original 1847 German rock house; The Danville Schoolhouse, an original 1863 one-room schoolhouse; or Deer Haven, a new cottage/cabin fully furnished with 3 bedrooms. Some rooms can sleep 2 while others can sleep 2-5 guests. HISTORIC KUEBLER WALDRIP HAUS BUILDING was built in 1847 and has approx. 5,000 sq. ft. It is a German pioneer limestone and hand-hewn timber log home that was built by Andreas and Katherine Pape of Hanover, Germany. It now has 5 separate bedrooms each with a private bath. HISTORIC DANVILLE SCHOOLHOUSE BUILDING was built in 1863 and has approx. 2,500 sq. ft. It is an original Texas schoolhouse, named for Texas Ranger Daniel Murchison, was moved to our ranch from Solms in Comal County in 1990. It has now been restored with the original hardwood floors, chalk board with stage, and now the covered porches have been converted into 2 additional bedrooms. It now has 5 separate bedrooms and 5 private baths. DEER HAVEN COTTAGE BUILDING is approx. 1,000 sq. ft. and is a cozy 3 bedroom cottage with tile floors, a jacuzzi bath, living room, and kitchen, and sleeps 2-6 guests.
